No matter how many factors influence innovation,the technological innovation performance is the result of the enterprise behavior,corporate behavior is often characterized by modeling that namely enterprise routines,the enterprise operation relying on f routines,therefore,routines will affect its technology innovation performance.But what kind of routines contribute to technological innovation,what kind of routines is not conducive to technological innovation? What factors affect organizational routines firstly,then affect technological innovation? The business and academia all did not give an answer on this question.Given the above problem,this study is to explore the antecedents of organizational routines and influence on technological innovation performance as the main line,based on the perspective of subject construct the executive leadership behavior,organizational routines and technological innovation performance of the theoretical model.In this study,examined the leadership role in the study of long-term mechanism is generally ignored that key factor of the top corporate leaders whether the founders,and uncertainty environment as moderator variable.According to surveying 344 enterprises,integrated use of statistical methods of structural equation confirmatory factor analysis and regression analysis,tested the model and the hypotheses.The empirical results show that the hypotheses were most verified in this paper,achieves our expected research aims.Contributions of the study could be concluded as follows:(1)This study decomposed the construct of organizational routines,it can be divided into general routines and innovation routines,has given a universal classification standard routines that any routines can be further divided into general routines and innovative routines.By expanding and applying to organizational level of cognitive style theory and regulatory focus theory,cognition and motivation of the two dimensions of organizational routines were re-classified as a group will be divided into general routines and innovation routines.This clas-sification is based on the same level of cognition and motivation,and therefore,there is no class difference between the two routines,that innovation routines is not the majority of scholars believe that the search for an impromptu routines,but endogenous,which most of the existing research regarded innovation routines as higher-order routines is different,and thus indirectly indicates that the so-called higher-order routines does not exist,nor the existence of higher-order routines "infinite regression" problems,clarify academic debate and disagreement on whether there are higher-order routines.This paper from cognitive psychology gives a measure of organizational routines,approach to solving organizational routines measurement problems make a certain contribution.Conclusions enriches the practice of the routines basic theory,with reference to the subsequent routines basic theory and organizational effectiveness analysis.(2)The study verified the organizational general practice and innovative practices have significant negative and positive impact on technical innovation performance,respectively,which proves the routines is an important factor in organizational technological innovation.Since routines is formed in the history of the organization,with historic,hereditary,stability,reflecting the existing organization and its historical connection,therefore,compared to organizational learning,organizational climate and other technological innovation performance of internal factors,organizational routines is a more long-term stability and an important internal factor.The traditional view that routines with rigid,routines hamper innovation." This study shows that not all routines have hampered innovation,as enterprise innovation,its innovative routines contribute to technological innovation,but the general practice is often hamper innovation.Thus,the traditional view of "routines hamper innovation" is corrected to "general routines hamper innovation." This study has some significance for breaking enterprise technology innovation problems,technological innovation theory is a powerful supplement.(3)The empirical results show top transformational and and transactional leadership respectively had significant positive effects on organizational innovation routines and general routines,thus verify the highest leader behaviorof the organization is one of the antecedents of the routines formed,from the leader subject role perspective answered "the origin of organizational routines" this cutting-edge academic problems.Research by distinguishing whether the top leaders is founders,compared to the non-founder,founder leader of the organization affect theroutines more significant,and then indirectly verify the initial situation of the organization routines sensitivity and path-dependent.This conclusion from the opposite point of view to verify the entrepreneurship theory highlighted founders have significant long-term impact on business,and indirectly the fact that its founder is to be passed to the role of organizational routines,depend on organizational stability,hereditary,passing its long-term impact on the organization,research findings enrich the organizational routines theory,leadership theory and entre-preneurship theory.(4)Based on Chinese context,test top management team organizational effect actually dilution,blurring the the absolute leadership of the Chinese business "number one" and the huge influence of the cognitive,breakthrough in the existing strategic leadership study on the top management team as the key of research paradigm,based on the Chinese situation,with executives in corporate executives-enterprises supreme leader-individual leadership behavior as the research object.According to the research to the existing leadership generally ignored to distinguish leadership is founder or not which led to the conclusion of the study have the major difference in insufficient,the "founder of identity" as executive characteristic,make up the existing top leadership studies only pay attention to executives age,educational and occupational background investigation and other demographic characteristics and organization effect,expand the range of top manager characteristics,is a supplement for higher order theory.The organization practice as a mediating variable used to reveal the mechanism of executive influence on technological innovation,to verify innovative routines played partial mediator between transformational executive leadership behavior and technological innovation performance,the general practice played partial mediator between transactional leadership behavior and technology innovation performance,thereby verified executives by influencing organizational routines and then long-term impact of the role of technological innovation performance path,for top leaders to uncover the leadership mechanism of "black box" provides a new perspective.This study makes a meaningful integration of strategic leadership theory,transactional leadership and transformational leadership theory,organizational routines theory and technology innovation theory,and makes some contributions to the internal mechanism of top leader impact technological innovation performance via organizational routines.
