Informationization and urbanization are the most significant features of developing countries in the 21st century.Being represented by the digital and the internet technology with characteristics of infiltrativeness,intelligence,synthesis,diffusion and openness,informationization dismantles the shackle of space in terms of urban resource allocation across the world.Formulating new industrial distribution space and division of labor through restructuring of organization for production in the traditional society has accelerated urbanization as well as transformation of urban spatial structure.This study constructs theoretical models by adopting complex system theory,to investigate the impact of informationization on the mechanism of urbanization in China and carry out a simulation.The main contents and innovations are summarized as follows:(1)Analysis of the homogeneity and heterogeneity with regard to development of city network and information network based on their evolution.Proceeding from the city network paradigm and space of flows,this study builds up the information network model based on the radiation model,and city network model on the migration network relation matrix,to explore the phase and structural features of the city network evolution in the context of informationization.Development of city network and information network has been categorized into three consecutive stages and they are "the heterogeneity of the respective development","emerging homogeneity of initial interaction and adjustment" and "the homogeneity of synergistic enhancement".This study analyzes the homogeneity and heterogeneity and explains the specific influence exerted by informationization on the city network system.The finding proves that China's informationization provides a new approach in optimization and innovation of the urban spatial system.The synergistic effect between the information network and the city network is embodied.(2)The division of main forces and subordinate forces in urbanization in the context of informationization.Based on dissipative structure theory,which introduces the informationization as the external entropy into the dynamic system of urbanization,this study employs ISM to analyze the relevance structure of the factors influencing the dynamic system of urbanization in the context of informationization,and to interpret the pathway of effects of informationization on urbanization based on the indirect infiltration effect as well as direct push effect.This study divides urbanization dynamo into two dimensions:the main forces and the subordinate forces,and constructs entropy change model to interpret the trend of total entropy change of the urbanization dynamic system and the basic conditions under which its stable and ordered structure is formed.(3)Analysis and simulation of the effect of main force and subordinate force on urbanization process.By employing the structural equation model,this study analyzes the indirect infiltration effect of the subordinate force on the main force within the urbanization dynamic system,and further analyzes the pathway and effect of the two forces upon the urbanization process.System Dynamics Model is adopted to simulate the mechanism of the two forces to probe into the trend of urbanization dynamo.Applying scenario analysis,this study introduces the control variables,including information resources,information technology and information industry into the dynamic model of China's urbanization in the context of informationization,and explores the optimal pathway of the subordinate force in promoting urbanization.
