Integration And Management Study Of Cultural Heritage Knowledge For Cultural Creative Design

In the long course of history,a large amount of precious cultural relics was created.They are not only the crystallization of wisdom,but also the inspiration for modem cultural creative industry development.The culture connotation of cultural relics provides abundant knowledge resource for cultural creative design activities.However,the cultural factor,art(aesthetic)factor and historical factor behind cultural relics in the aspects of form,structure and pattern have not been systematically excavated and sorted out.On one hand,the knowledge of cultural relics lack deeply interpretation to the cultural creative design domain,and there exists differences between the need of designers for cultural relics knowledge and the research priority of heritage experts.On the other hand,lots of digital information resources database of cultural relics have been built to meet the need of information construction,as a result,there is lack in association among cultural relics knowledge,and the convenience and validity of design application in creative design field have failed sufficiently to be considered.The cultural relics knowledge for cultural creative design is fragmented and needs unified system supporting.To meet the need of cultural relics knowledge in cultural creative design field,this paper combined of many relating disciplines and technology and integrated talents in relics and museology,computer science and creative design.Based on the cooperative work pattern of cross-domain,this paper mainly studied the following contents:1.A general overview of cultural creative design method and processCulture plays an important role in design,incorporating cultural elements in product design has become the new trend in global market.Firstly,this paper summarized the structural hierarchical model and analyzed application level of culture in design process.Secondly,this article reviewed and compared the method and key technology of cultural creative design,the characteristics and application methods of cultural relics knowledge were summarized by analyzing the method of cultural creative design process,including the cultural design method of semiology,the cultural design method of metaphor,the cultural design method of extracting genomic and the the cultural design method of image translation,these methods provide reference base for the application of cultural elements in cultural creative design process.Thirdly,the forming process and attributive character of cultural relics knowledge were analyzed.And the cultural creative design process model based on cultural relics knowledge was built by analyzing design activities in cultural creative design process,and will help build a foundation for the follow-up study on integration and management study of cultural relics knowledge for cultural creative design.2.The effect of design inspiration study based on cultural relics knowledgeAs the source of inspiration for promoting design innovation,cultural relics knowledge plays an important role in cultural creative design.Previous studies have shown that pictorial inspiration and textual inspiration have different roles in affecting the design process and the design outcomes.This study compared the different effects of "cultural-pictorial inspiration"(CPI)and“cultural-textual inspiration"(CTI)in cultural product design activities.According to the process model of cultural creative design,this experiment studied two steps in cultural creative design process.Participants were asked to execute two tasks:find the key cultural features from the given cultural relics and generate cultural products in the experiment.Results showed that designers extracted different levels of knowledge from cultural relics,and both pictures and texts can promote innovation,“cultural-pictorial inspiration"(CPI)and"cultural-textual inspiration"(CTI)have different effects on the cultural elements extraction step and sketch design step,and the textual information can help designers think deeply.Moreover,the designers' performances in two tasks are closely related and may interact with each other,and cultural features generation is an important stage in cultural product design activities.3.Classifying cultural relics knowledge for creative designClassifying is a kind of important means to understand things,and it contributes to the understanding of research objects.At present,there are problems that lacking a mature classification framework for cultural creative design knowledge in the design circle and the heritage world,and cannot be able to make an effective integration and usage of cultural relics.Cultural artifacts knowledge for creative design in classification was exploratively proposed through the cross-discipline expert collaborations and iterative methods from industrial design.The classification framework of cultural artifacts on ontology knowledge was built through the specialist consultation,and the classification framework of cultural artifacts on design knowledge was built from experimental studies.In the synthesis of the above two frameworks,a classification framework of cultural artifacts knowledge for creative'design was built,which integrates cultural artifacts knowledge,design knowledge and computer knowledge.Cultural artifacts knowledge for creative design can be classified into 5 main types,namely basic information,form knowledge,function knowledge,technology knowledge and culture knowledge.From there the classification frameworks of textile,painted murals and architecture were built.The problem of standardized representation of cultural relics knowledge for cultural creative design were solved.And it lays a foundation for the development of cultural relics knowledge in cultural creative design field.These results will provide theory gist for the follow-up study:the construction of cultural relics knowledge management system for cultural creative design.4.Integration management study of cultural relics knowledge for cultural creative designIn the cultural creative design field,the cultural relics knowledge is relatively uncorrelated,the knowledge reasoning model is weak and the application efficiency is low.An integration and management method of cultural artifacts knowledge for cultural creative design was put forward to support cultural design activities.This research persists in the principle of "base on heritage,be oriented towards design",and integrated the result of much thinking by specialists efficiently through the cross-discipline expert collaborations and iterative methods.On one hand,this involves researching the design process and the need of cultural creative design,and discussing the conceptual knowledge,attribute knowledge and rule knowledge which needed in design field;On the other hand,it relys on the knowledge and experience of heritage experts,providing common rules in cultural heritage knowledge field.The rules were standardized implemented by knowledge engineer and the incremental construction method was built.Firstly,the application and integration of cultural relics knowledge in cultural creative design were analyzed,and the process model of cultural creative design based on cultural relics knowledge was constructed.Sceondly,the cultural relics knowledge was sorted out with structured form to the need of cultural creative design application.Thirdly,the expression and organization of cultural relics knowledge for cultural creative design were finished through ontology modeling and ontology semantical retrieve.Lastly,a management system of cultural relics for cultural creative design was developed.5.Design application based on the cultural artifacts knowledge system for cultural creative designIn the present part of the study,a process model of cultural creative design based on the cultural relics knowledge for cultural creative design was developed.Designers interpreted,analyzed and sorted out cultural relics knowledge for creative design with the help of cultural relics knowledge system for cultural creative design,and producing some cultural creative products,and the feasibility of integration and management method of cultural relics knowledge for cultural creative design was tested.Supported by the National Key Science and Technology Support Program of China "Creative design oriented culture heritage knowledge system study and knowledge base construction"(Project Number:2013BAH62F01),this paper does lots of deep researches on content above.The history,art and culture from form,constructure and pattern within culture relics was investigated,and the characteristics and classification of cultural relics knowledge and integration and management method for creative design was explored.The knowledge structure of cultural relics knowledge was built,and the resources were optimized and used effectively.This study takes the needs of creative designers as driving force,and provides support for the search,integration and design application of cultural relics knowledge in creative design field.
