As the inheritance and development of Marxist thoughts in China,Mao Zedong's thoughts on publicity is an integral part of the proletarian publicity,and has a tremendous material force in the process of Chinese proletarian revolution and socialist construction,palying a very important role in the emancipation of thoughts.Mao Zedong's thought on publicity was the product of creatively localizing Marxist publicity theory,and the unity of generality and individuality.It has been proved to be the dialectical unity of proletatian publicity thought combining with China's specific communication practices.Therefore,it is not only the inheritance of Marxist publicity thoughts,but also the innovation and development at the same time.It has verified the rationality,scientificty and feasibility of using the Maxist publicity theory to guide China's proletarian revolution and socialist construction,making great contributions to the revolution and construction in China.Its theoretical value is beyond doubt and obvious.Mao Zedong's publicity thought not only inherited the theoretical essence of Marxism,but also unified with China's social practices and cultural context,absorbed the excellent essence of Chinese traditional culture and had the Chinese characteristics.Therefore it plays a significance role in the development and construction of Chinese society.The first part of this thesis including chapter one and chapter two,mainly explores the historical background,practice basis and theoretical premise of Mao Zedong's publicity thoughts.It came into being in the first half of the 20th century when the world proletarian revolution underwent new development and China's democracy had new demand.Its theoretical sources originate from classical Marxist writers' theories about the proletarian party leadership,publicity and ideology,Meanwhile,it also absorbed many outstanding achievements in Chinese traditional culture.Its practice bases are:the wide spread of Marxism before and after "the May 4th Movement",the new democratic revolution under the leadership of the party after the foundation of the Chinese Communist Party,socialist revolution and the glorious history of socialist construction.The second part(chapter three)focuses on the development history of Mao Zedong's publicity thoughts.It mainly contains the preliminary understanding of publicity;the formation of publicity ideology;the maturity and the development of publicity and the limitation of publicity.This part also discussed the role of publicity in ideology construction and tried to clarify the development path of Mao Zedong's publicity thoughts.The third part includes chapter four and five,which mainly summarized the main contents and basic features of Mao Zedong's publicity thoughts.The main contents of Mao Zedong's publicity thoughts include:the status and function of publicity work,the aim and task of publicity and ideological work,the team construction of publicity work,the methods and ways of publicity work and so on.And the main features include:distinctive political nature,clear purpose,high target,outstanding practice,moderate struggle and rich nationality.The fourth part is the sixth chapter,which mainly deals with the historical status and contemporary values of Mao Zedong's publicity thoughts.The theoretical value of Mao Zedong's publicity thoughts lies in that it enriched and developed the publicity thought of Marxism,constructed and improved the publicity and ideological system of the Chinese Communist Party,and enlightened the Party leaders'thoughts on publicity for several generations.The practical significance of Mao Zedong's publicity thoughts is that it developed the cotemporary Marxism in China,strengthened and improved the ways and methods of publicity work.It plays an important role in the construction of a strong socialist culture in China,has carried Chinese Communist Party to a new stage and enhanced its governing ability.Mao Zedong's publicity thought is a theoretical arm for us to proceed and do researches on publicity.It is also the theoretical guideline to the Party's building and actions in the new situation.Mao Zhedong's thoughts are of vital practical significance to our ideological work in the new historical condition.We should pay more attention to the study of Marxism and do more researches on the latest development and theoretical innovation of Marxism,and enhance its publicity in China.Therefore we need to consolidate the leading role of Marxism in our ideological system,to insist socialism as the core value in our culture construction and improve the cultural power.We should think highly of the Party's ideology construction,guarantee the purity and advancement of the Party's thoughts.This can be an effective way to improve the governing ability and strengthen the leading role of Chinese Communist Party.
