The transformation of rural culture was a strategic measure of the Communist Party of China to promote the ideal of building a new country and rebuilding the rural society after the founding of the People's Republic of China. After the liberation of the vast new areas, the Communist Party of China launched a nationwide rural social transformation campaign to rapidly stabilize social order and consolidate political power, and to launch the national construction of the new China. In the movement, the rural amateur theatrical troupes had sprung up as vehicles to spread ideology, transform rural people, encourage agricultural production and develop rural culture. It is slightly different from its name that the village troupe was not a single village cultural organization with acting as its sole activity, but a combination of various forms of folk art, thus provoking the village culture to some extent. In addition,as the organizer and implementer of the amateur culture of the rural masses, the village theatrical troupes themselves were the product of vigorous advocacy by the Party and the government. After their establishment, they operated under the leadership, supervision and administration of the Party and the government, and undertook to eliminate the old ideas and develop the new ideas, thus played a role in the transformation of rural culture. However, culture is a unique world of meaning, which determines the complexity of cultural transformation. In the special historical period of the transition of the old and new society, the party and the government had made a lot of efforts to cultivate the new mainstream value culture in the rural society, and had achieved good results, but there are still some topics to be discussed in this process. For example,it is not difficult for the country to transmit the mainstream cultural values to the bottom of the countryside in the short term through propaganda, but is it easy to digest and absorb the rural society which has long infiltrated the old cultural tradition? This thesis takes the village amateur theatrical troupe of the Jun County as the object of investigation, the purpose of which is to explore the process of the national cultural policy design in rural society under the vision of new China's National construction ideal, and how rural society responded to cultural transformation at this national level.Around the research object, the thesis consists of three parts: introduction, bodytext and conclusion. The prolegomenon mainly introduces the reason, current research situation, research methods, the source of the research material, research value of the topic and so on,so as to grasp the background of the topic from a macroscopic perspective. The body text consists of five chapters. The first chapter is "the county village culture ecology before the founding of the state".It mainly combs the countryside culture ecology before the transformation, including the natural geographical environment, the social history evolution and the folk culture general situation, which is the basic situation introduction of the case study object. At the same time,it also makes a background for the latter article. The second chapter is "the establishment, development and operation of rural amateur theatrical troupe after the founding of the state".This mainly analyzes the background of the times, the development process and the organization and operation mechanism of the village troupe itself, which is the organization strategy of the rural cultural transformation of the Communist Party of China after the establishment of new China. The third chapter is "the leading management system of rural amateur theatrical troupe".This mainly discusses how the state leaded the management of rural amateur theatrical troupes,so that they could operate within the limits prescribed by the state and fulfill their expected role and duties as a mass amateur art group which was formed rapidly by the conscious and organized mobilization and guidance of the party and government relevant departments. The fourth chapter is "interaction between the state and rural society in rural drama".This mainly examines how the top-down cultural construction program of New China was carried out in rural areas during the process of rural cultural transformation, and how the rural theatrical group,as the main organizer and implementer of new rural culture, reacted to the old cultural habits and the new rural art under the intention of cultural policy design, and how the Party and the government rectified and standardized the deviation of the rural drama performance. The fifth chapter is "the social effect of rural amateur theatrical troupe activities".According to the effect of village troupe in the practice of village culture, this paper analyzes the special historical role played by village troupe in the early period of the founding of new China and its deficiencies that existed. At last is the conclusion. From the angle of the relationship between state and society, this analyzes the interaction between state and rural society in the campaign for the transformation of common village culture, and emphasizes the conclusion of this paper based on the empirical research.Facing the country's strategy for the transformation of rural culture, the rural society "obeyed the regulations" and "brought its own rhythm".In the process of reshaping the new culture, the rural society would actively adapt, but at the same time, the inertia of its traditional cultural psychology still continued for a period of time.
