After entering the industrial society, due to the existence of increasing returns of scale, the spatial distribution of labor force has become increasingly prominent. And the new economic geography theory headed by Paul R.Krugman is maturing, the spatial distribution of economic activity elements can be introduced into the traditional economic growth model and become an explanation of economic growth.Judging from the situation in China,at present, the east coast and megacities with high concentration of labor force have achieved rapid economic growth and a substantial increase in their overall strength. However,as many regions face the so-called “big city disease,” they have adopted a series of population control policies. Then, what impact does the concentration of labor have on economic growth in all regions and across the country? This research will help our goverment not only pay attention to the perspective of factor input, but also take into account the relationship between the spatial layout of factors and economic development in the process of optimizing regional economics. However,at present,in the field of labor economics, there are almost no articles devoted to the study of the relationship between labor concentration and economic growth. In particular, domestic related research basically focuses on the impact of labor supply and labor mobility on economic growth. The research in this article has been supplemented and improved in this respect, and it also provides inspiration and reference for later research on theories, perspectives, and methods. This article combines qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis. In qualitative analysis, combined with theories of labor economics, economic growth theory, new economic geography, and related literature research, this paper conducts in-depth studies on the mechanism of the formation of labor space agglomeration and the mechanism of the impace of labor agglomeration on economic growth. At the same time when the analysis of interval heterogeneity,a comparative analysis method is used.In the quantitative analysis method, panel data is used, followed by static panel regression, dynamic panel regression, threshold regression, etc.,and spatial effects are included, spatial measurement methods are introduced, and in order to deal with endogenous problems, system GMMs,space systems GMMs,etc.are used. This methods are frontier internationally, and we get the following conclusions:Firstly, based on the theoretical and empirical analysis of the relationship between labor agglomeration and economic growth,it is concluded that: based on the new economic theory, through positive local market effects, price index effects, knowledge spillover effects, and negative market competition formed by labor force accumulation jointly affect economic growth.Due to the different conditions of each effect, labor force concentration promotes economic growth in the beginning. After reaching a certain level, the cost of agglomeration rises, and it is not conducive to economic growth. Therefore, there is the "inverted U" relationship between labor aggregation and economic growth, and this paper clarifies the application of the "Williams curve hypothesis" in China.Secondly, based on the quantitative measurement of the contribution rate of China's labor agglomeration dividend to economic growth,we can see that on average, during the period from 2000 to 2015,the contribution rate of China's labor agglomeration bonus in economic growth has reached 14.047%.Among them, the most suitable areas for labor agglomeration include Beijing,Tianjin, and its bonuses account for 25%-27% of regional GDP per capita.Thirdly, through a study of the regional differences in the impact of labor agglomeration on economic growth,it is found that the influence of labor agglomeration in each region on the economy is not the same, and therefore the suitable agglomeration zones in each region are not the same. And the economic strength is a key factor influencing the influence of regional labor agglomeration on economic growth. This study finds that the labor force in the economically developed regions has a long period of bonus dividends and a higher agglomeration of labor. Therefore,in the future, from the perspective of economic efficiency,Shanghai can still continue to gather a certain amount of labor resources;and in a certain period of time, the southeast coast is the main agglomeration direction, and the agglomeration of major cities can still continue.Fourth, through the study,it is found that the imbalance of the labor force's internal agglomeration in a certain region has a “?” type effect on the global economic growth. That is,the increase in the imbalance of the labor agglomeration structure will first suppress the economic growth and then promote and suppress again.According to the results of the study,China is still in the second stage of the “?” curve. The current spatial pattern of labor agglomeration is conducive to the promotion of China ' s economic growth, and there is still space for continued agglomeration.
