The United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization(UNESCO)lists entrepreneurial competence as the third ability passport for college students following academic and vocational skills.In the new era of "mass entrepreneurship and innovation",it is impossible for everyone to start a business,but everyone should have the entrepreneurial spirit so as to be able to continuously explore and innovate in his or her own work position.This study focuses on the three closely related concepts of college students' entrepreneurial competence,entrepreneurial intention and entrepreneurship education,and carries out theoretical and empirical research in order to understand their structure,connotation,current situation and mutual relations.Besides,it also provides the inspiration to the entrepreneurship education of college students in China.This research synthetically uses the literature metrology method,the qualitative research method,the interview method and the questionnaire method,which mainly carries out the following three aspects of research: 1)through the successful young entrepreneurs' case collection,this research used the qualitative research method,and constructed the model of entrepreneurial competence of outstanding young entrepreneurs without precondition and presupposition.The result provides a theoretical basis for exploring the essence and connotation of entrepreneurial competence and compiling tools for evaluating entrepreneurial competence.2)On the basis of qualitative research,literature review and expert interview,the author compiled the questionnaire of college students' entrepreneurial competence,entrepreneurial intention and entrepreneurship education,discussed their structure and connotation,and provided an evaluation tool for the investigation of college students' entrepreneurial status.It also provides a theoretical basis for the development of entrepreneurship education for college students.3)By using the questionnaire with good structure,reliability and validity,this paper carried out a nationwide survey of college students' entrepreneurship,this research analyzed the current situation of entrepreneurial competence,entrepreneurial intention and entrepreneurship education of college students in China.Based on the results of the survey,analyzes the current situation and relationship of entrepreneurial competence,entrepreneurial intention and entrepreneurship education of college students in China.The author puts forward some suggestions on entrepreneurship education.This study obtained the following innovative results: 1)this research builds the model of entrepreneurial competence of outstanding young entrepreneurs,which includes three factors: basic competence,core competence and business competence.2)A questionnaire has been compiled on the entrepreneurial competence of college students,which is suitable for both non-entrepreneurial college students and those who have already started their own businesses.It includes six dimensions: innovation competence,commitment competence,organizational competence,relationship competence,learning competence and emotional competence.3)From the perspective of progressive consciousness,the questionnaire of entrepreneurial intention of college students is compiled,which includes three dimensions of consciousness from low to high,that is,implicit tendency,explicit tendency and entrepreneurial behavior.4)A questionnaire of entrepreneurship education for college students is constructed,which includes three dimensions: entrepreneurial curriculum,entrepreneurial practice and entrepreneurial support.5)Male college students' entrepreneurial competency,entrepreneurial intention and entrepreneurship education received are significantly higher than female college students.6)There are critical periods for the development of entrepreneurial intention and entrepreneurial competency(second year to junior year),at this time,entrepreneurship education should be carried out in a timely manner.7)In the college students' basic information on entrepreneurship,whether or not I have entrepreneurial experience and family economic status is a large predictor of college students' entrepreneurial intention and entrepreneurial competency.8)The entrepreneurial intention of college students in East China was significantly lower than that in other regions.The reason for the low level was related to the overall family economic situation and entrepreneurship education status of the undergraduates in East China.9)Undergraduates in economics,management,and law disciplines have significantly higher entrepreneurial competency,entrepreneurial intention,and entrepreneurship education than those in medical science,science,engineering,and philosophy of literature and history.10)Entrepreneurship education is significantly positively correlated with entrepreneurial competency and entrepreneurial intention.Entrepreneurial competence is part of the intermediary of entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial intention.Entrepreneurship education not only directly influences entrepreneurial intention,but also indirectly affects entrepreneurial intention through entrepreneurial competency.The research conclusions mainly enlighten students' entrepreneurship education as follows: 1)Entrepreneurship education curriculum system can be constructed based on the dimensions of entrepreneurial competency,entrepreneurial intention,and entrepreneurship education.2)The questionnaires of college students' entrepreneurial competence,entrepreneurial intention and entrepreneurship education can be used to understand the status quo of college students' entrepreneurship,carry out targeted entrepreneurship education.The series of questionnaires can also be used as evaluation tools for the selection of entrepreneurial talents and the effectiveness of entrepreneurial education.3)It is appropriate to carry out entrepreneurship education during the critical period from the sophomore year to junior year,and from the second year to the third year of graduate students.These periods are critical periods for the development of entrepreneurial competence and entrepreneurial intention.4)Learning of economics,management science,and law related disciplines,can help improve the college students' entrepreneurial competency and entrepreneurial intention.5)The degree of entrepreneurial competency and entrepreneurial intention of college students can be used as indicators of the short-term effects of entrepreneurship education.
