Education is an art, is the bridge of the teachers and students. High school Chinese teaching is especially important in the position of the whole basic education, at the same time, as a basic subject of each course, Chinese teaching shoulders on the responsibility of inheriting classic and moral education, especially the tang poetry teaching in high school, not only serious deep, but also rich and lively. It is China’s two thousand years of inheriting the essence of the traditional Chinese microcosm. But in current tang poetry teaching in high school, students generally feel boring due to lower interest, single learning motivation and poor class teaching, thus affect the normal conduct of the Chinese teaching and the improvement of students’ humanistic quality. High school tang and song poetry, however, has rich humanities connotation of curriculum, and tang and song poetry teaching, has strong humanistic color, the developing of tang poetry teaching in high school should pay more attention to the cultivation of students’ humanistic quality.In this paper, from the tang and song poetry teaching and the students’ humanistic quality training, comprehensively profoundly expound the significance of tang and song poetry teaching and the role of humanistic quality education to the student, by helping to improve the teaching effect of tang and song poetry, and improve the students’ humanistic quality. Chapter 1 introduction part, expound the background of the selected topic significance and research through different methods, the final conclusion. Chapter 2, Issue questionnaires to Xinyang Guangshan MaFan High School, understand to the current problems existing in tang and song poetry teaching in high school, and analyze the reasons for this situation. Chapter 3 expound the cultivation of middle school students’ the relationship between humanities quality and tang and song poetry teaching in high school, learn outstanding importance of humanistic quality education in Chinese teaching in high school, excavate value of tang and song poetry in humanistic education more in-depth. Chapter 4 make further exploration of the humanistic quality education in the high school tang and song poetry teaching strategies, from the value orientation of tang poetry teaching, the improvement of teachers’ own quality, the inherent way of teaching reforming, the elective course system and focus on the extracurricular counseling exploring, five aspects to tang and song poetry teaching in high school to improve students’ humanistic quality.By discovering problems, analyzing problems to solve the problem, connect tang and song poetry teaching with students’ humanistic quality training to high school together, truly unify the instrumental and humanism which Chinese curriculum standards request. This is not only the requirement of the curriculum reform in new period, but also is the requirement of the current school education. Putting students into relaxed and happy learning atmosphere, make them realize the tang and song poetry serious and breezy. Teachers in the inheritance of the classic at the same time also can improve students’ humanistic quality, this is a good example of the current language classroom education.
