At present,the rapid development of Internet technology has profoundly changed people's way of living,working,learning and thinking,and also accelerated the social transformation and development.The development of emerging technologies,such as big data,cloud computing,Internet of things and artificial intelligence,have created a virtual pace for human beings and started the digital age.Citizens living in the physi-cal space have a new identity--digital citizens.College students are growing up with the network technology,and how they survive and develop in the digital society would determine the development and civilization of the whole society.With the rapid development of the digital age,digital citizenship has become basic literacy for citi-zens.College students are the builders and successors of the country in the future,and improving college students' digital citizenship level is the objective need to conform to the trend of the age.Digital citizenship is of great significance to the social eco-nomical development and the comprehensive development of people.Digital citizen-ship is the basic premise of the development of information society,and the objective need of talent cultivation in the information age,as well as the basic requirement of the national policies.As digital citizenship is so important for college students,the primary research is to explore the influencing factors of digital citizenship.Investi-gating factors that influence the digital citizenship of college students could not only enrich the theories of digital citizenship,but also provide policy suggestions for digi-tal citizenship education in practice.Based on the "ternary interactive determinism" of social cognition theory,this study constructed a model of influencing factors of college students' digital citizen-ship from three aspects,including personal factors,environmental factors and behav-ioral factors.On this basis,combined with semi-structured interviews with individual representatives of teachers and students,SWOT(Strengths Weaknesses Opportunities Threats)analysis was adopted to analyze the strengths,weaknesses,opportunities and threats faced by college students in the process of digital citizenship promotion,so as to propose scientific and effective strategies for improving digital citizenship of col-lege students.On the basis of defining the core concepts of digital citizen and digital citizenship,this paper clarified the connotation of digital citizenship through detailed literature review,examined the relevant theoretical and practical research on digital citizenship education,collected and summarized the current measurement tools of digital citi-zenship,and extracted the influencing factors of digital citizenship.Based on the so-cial cognitive theory,this study identified the individual factors(student computer self-efficacy,students' Internet attitude),environmental factors(teachers using infor-mation technology,teachers Internet self-efficacy,Internet anxiety,students' per-ceived organizational support from school),and behavioral factors(students' inter-personal communication competence,students' social media competence,students'21st century digital skills),and established the influencing factor model of college students' digital citizenship.This study compiled the Questionnaire on Factors Influ-encing College Students' Digital Citizenship(teacher version and student version),and collected data from college students in a local university in Hubei province,and utilized the method of structural equation model to analyze and verify the key factors.influencing college students' digital citizenship.On this basis,combined with semi-structured interviews with individual representatives of teachers and students,SWOT analysis was adopted to analyze the strengths,weaknesses,opportunities and threats faced by college students in the process of digital citizenship cultivation and promotion,so as to propose scientific and effective strategies for improving digital citizenship of college students.In summary,the following conclusions were obtained:First,in terms of the personal factors,college students' computer self-efficacy and Internet attitude were significantly related to the level of college students' digital citizenship.Second,in terms of the environmental factors,teachers' Internet self-efficacy and college students' perceived organizational support were significantly positively corre-lated with college students' digital citizenship level.However,teachers' Internet anxi-ety and use of information technology to promote students' communication and learning had no significant correlations with college students' digital citizenship level.Third,in terms of the behavioral factors,college students' social media compe-tence and 21st century digital skills were significantly positively correlated with the digital citizenship level of college students,while the college students' interpersonal communication competence were not significantly correlated with their digital citi-zenship level.Based on the above research conclusions,the author put forward several strate-gies to promote the digital citizenship of college students:First,from the personal perspective,improving computer self-efficacy and Inter-net attitude of college students is beneficial for their digital citizenship level.Second,from the environmental perspective,firstly,the improvement of teachers'Internet self-efficacy could help promote the improvement of students' digital citi-zenship.Furthermore,the organizational support of strengthening the construction of information infrastructure,information resources and applications,information ser-vices and security mechanism of schools may significantly improve the digital citi-zenship of college students.Third,from the behavioral perspective,improving college students' social media competence and 21st century digital skills might significantly improve their digital citizenship level.
