Research On Teacher's Capacity Building Of Research Universities In China

In the 21 st century,human society has entered an era centered on human ability,knowledge economy is developing rapidly,international competition is intensifying,knowledge and talent are playing a key role in enhancing national strength and social prosperity.University is a subsystem of society.As a pioneer in the university,research universities have a special mission in building a strong country of talent and building an innovative country.Teachers are the lifeblood of universities.A university is a collection of teachers."The symbol of a university is an accomplished scholar,not a high-rise building." The capacity building of teachers in China's research universities is the need to promote free,comprehensive,innovative and harmonious development of each teacher.At present,the capacity building of teachers in China's research universities has not received attention of all sectors of society.The traditional personnel system of research universities has the following drawbacks: attaching importance to "things" and ignoring "people",attaching importance to "management and control" and ignoring "services and incentives",neglecting the teacher's subjectivity.Problems in research universities include: a lack of highly accomplished scholars,insufficient development of teachers' potential,the irrational flow of teachers,and unsound competition mechanisms.An open,collaborative,comprehensive,coordinated,autonomous,innovative,harmonious,and symbiotic teacher development ecology has not formed.These problems have hindered the development of “double-class” construction in research universities.These problems have hampered the capacity building of teachers in research universities.Based on the above background and realistic thinking,this article is guided by Marx's ability thought.This article deeply explores the intrinsic link between Marx's ability thought and teacher's ability building,thus making up for the lack of theoretical support in previous research.This paper insists on the combination of macro and micro,and analyzes the current situation,problems and causes of problems in the capacity building of research universities in China.This paper adheres to the combination of theoretical guidance and problem guidance,and puts forward the goals,principles and design strategies of capacity building of teachers in research universities.From the aspects of moral quality,knowledge quality,innovation quality and intellectual potential,this paper constructs an element system of capability structure for teachers in research universities with Chinese characteristics.On this basis,the strategic path of capacity building for research university teachers is proposed to realize the internal and external integration between “supply side”(university,government,society)and “demand side”(teachers).On the one hand,this paper proposes the independent development path for teachers in research universities from the aspects of career planning,cultivation of professional identity,adjustment of professional pressure,exertion of self-efficacy and improvement of core competitiveness,so that teachers can develop their potential with purpose and consciousness.On the other hand,this paper puts forward a guarantee system from the aspects of social support system,school support system and rights guarantee system to strengthen the capacity building of teachers in China's research universities,thus the transmutation from "thing" to "person" is realized.In the end,this paper realizes the dialectical unity of “effective supply” and “reasonable demand”,and realizes the harmonious unity of teacher development and organizational development.
