A Study On The Influence Of Urban Integration Of The New Generation Of Rural Migrant Workers On Sports Leisure Participation In Shanghai

Stiglitz,a well-known American economist,has ever put forward that “in the 21 st century,two events that have the greatest impact on the world are the new technological revolution in the United States and the urbanization in China.” With the rapid development of China's urbanization,the new generation of rural migrant workers has flooded massively into the cities in which they are searching for their positions and dreams.As an important force to prompt the urban development,their attitude,behavior and satisfaction to sports leisure participation reflect the level of their physical and mental health.Urban integration,as an important environmental perception to promote healthy individual cognition and behavior,and enrich a better life,explains rural migrant population's cohesion in culture,habits,emotions and other aspects in their working city and living circumstances.The discussion of the internal relationship between urban integration and sports leisure participation of the new generation of rural migrant workers is related to the well-being of the workers and the development of urban public health.In this research,1102 new generation of rural migrant workers are investigated and 13 are interviewed.Based on urban integration theory,social cognitive theory,leisure restriction theory and other related theories,and combined with quantitative research and qualitative research method,literature survey,questionnaire,interview,mathematical statistics method,case study and other research methods,this paper employs descriptive statistics,t-test,variance analysis,correlation analysis,regression analysis and other statistics analysis methods,and obtains the key data.According to the theory of structural equation model,this paper builds a mechanism model of “urban integration?sports leisure participation” and finally the inner influence mechanism of the urban integration of the new generation of rural migrant workers on sports leisure participation in Shanghai is revealed.The conclusions are as follows.1.For the new generation of rural migrant workers in Shanghai,urban integration is at the middle level.Urban integration has the consistency characteristics in gender and marital state,but differs in social hierarchy,educational degree,technical level,and the years of working.Specifically speaking,the higher social status,longer working years,higher technical level the new generation of migrant rural workers have,the higher the level of economic integration,urban identity and social acceptance is;the higher the degree of education,the higher the level of economic integration and urban identity is.2.The attitude and satisfaction of the new generation of rural migrant workers in Shanghai to sports leisure are above average level,while the participation behavior is at the medium and low level.Participation behavior is significantly different in gender.Men are more positive than women.Moreover,the higher social status or the higher technical grade the workers have,they are more positive in participation attitude(cognitive attitude)and participation behavior;the higher educational degree they possess,they are more positive in participation attitude(“behavior identity”,“cognitive attitude” and “value identity”)and participation behavior(“exercise” and “sports consumption behavior”);the longer the years they have worked for,they are more positive in participation behavior.3.For the new generation of rural migrant workers in Shanghai,urban integration plays a positive role in promoting participation attitude and behavior to sports leisure.The participation attitude to sports leisure can stimulate participation behavior,which is helpful to improve the satisfaction level.Although urban integration cannot directly improve the satisfaction level of the new generation of rural migrant workers in sports leisure,it may stimulate participation attitude which can promote participation behavior and finally achieve the purpose of improving the satisfaction level of sports leisure participation.Case study finds that ASE Group features a joint construction pattern of “society-enterprise-family-community”.It fully absorbs social resources and obtains the cooperation with community and society by way of multidimensional cooperation mechanism,participation boost mechanism,and culture governance mechanism.It promotes staff's sports leisure participation and satisfaction level through sports project publicity,skills training,and diversified sports events,festival and other activities,which also combined with theoretical analysis proves that enterprise can promote rural migrant workers' sports leisure participation by way of urban integration.Through case study,the paper puts forward ways that enterprise can employs to make urban integration promote the sports leisure participation of the new generation of rural migrant workers: build sports community,establish a boost mechanism for family participation,and establish a linkage mechanism among the government,enterprises and the society for a sports service system.4.Nowadays,conditions,which include material,system,culture,action,for the sports leisure participation of the new generation of rural migrant workers,are still not mature.Enterprises,communities,social organizations and other social impetus still lack cooperation.In this context,only through the development of urban integration in economic integration,social acceptance,cultural blend,and urban identity and through the cooperation of society,city,enterprise,and community,can we establish a multi-governance system for the new generation of rural migrant workers to participate in sports leisure.Combined with the research conclusions,the following strategies are proposed:(1)To enhance economic integration in order to providing ways for the new generation of rural migrant workers to participate in sports leisure;(2)To emphasize the guarantee of social acceptance in order to ensuring the the rights and interests for the new generation of rural migrant workers to participate in sports leisure;(3)To enlarge the tolerance of urban culture in order to drawing the new generation of rural migrant workers to participate in sports leisure;(4)To develop absorptive capacity of urban identity in order to improving the sense of achievement of the new generation of rural migrant workers to participate in sports leisure.
