The frequent accidents in the construction industry have resulted in a large number of casualties and serious economic losses.The unsafe behavior of the construction workers is the main cause of the safety accidents in the construction industry.Although the influence factors and mechanism of unsafe behavior of construction workers have been discussed extensively,there are few studies taking individual emotion as the influencing factors about the unsafe behavior of construction workers.Through the pre-research and literature analysis we find that: emotion is an important factor affecting the unsafe behavior of construction workers.Therefore,this paper attempts to analyze the elements and interactive relations that affect the unsafe behavior of construction workers from the perspective of emotion,discusses the logical chain of "leadership style-individual emotion-unsafe behavior",and analyzes the established boundary conditions of a series of relationships from the perspective of emotional intelligence and safety climate.The main research work of this thesis is divided into three aspects below.Firstly,establishment and verification of the interactive relationship about the construction workers unsafe behavior based on the emotional perspective:Taking the AET theory as the theoretical basis,the relationship between "individual emotionunsafe behavior" is chosen as the research object.Through the system analysis the predecessor variables(leadership style)and the moderators(emotional intelligence,safety climate)of the relationship above were determined to build the relevant theoretical model.An empirical study including 223 valid samples shows that there is a positive correlation between negative emotion and unsafe behaviors,and there is a U-type relationship between positive emotion and unsafe behaviors;Comparing with the four kinds of leadership style(abuse,benevolent,moral,authoritarian),we find thatmoral leadership style can reduce the level of unsafe behavior of construction workers;The intermediary role of the individual emotions between leadership style and unsafe behavior is verified;The conclusion at the same times shows that the safety climate is more significant than the emotional intelligence in regulating the relationship between emotions and unsafe behavior of construction workers.Secondly,Deepening study of the relationship between individual emotions and unsafe behavior of construction workers: Because of the empirical research result "relationship between positive emotion and construction workers' unsafe behaviors is U-type" which is conflicting to the theoretical assumption which is "positive emotions and construction workers unsafe behavior was negatively correlated".This paper collects and analyzes the individual emotional data of the construction workers by means of text analysis,collects construction workers' unsafe behaviors by means of the on-site observation method according to the list of unsafe behaviors.The conclusion of U-type relationship between unsafe behavior and positive emotion is verified again by analyzing the new data.Thirdly,study on improving the situation of the construction workers' unsafe behavior based on the emotional management: According to the theoretical research results above,this paper proposes two intervention programs basing on emotional management(improving the leadership style and safety climate,and improving workers' emotions directly).The results of the relevant intervention experiments show that both of these schemes can effectively reduce the level of unsafe behavior of construction workers.In theoretical aspect,this paper presents and validates that individual emotions are the important theoretical perspective to explain the unsafe behavior of construction workers,and verifies the mediating role of individual emotions between leadership style and unsafe behaviors,and also verifies the emotional intelligence and safety climate as the moderators in the system.In this way,through the introduction of individual emotions that characterize the individual psychological state of the variables,making the construction workers unsafe behavior can be more understanding of the objective facts.This enriches the theoretical dimension of the mechanism of the unsafe behavior of construction workers.In practical aspect,this paper provides a new way to reduce theunsafe behavior level of construction workers from the perspective of emotional management and validates the effectiveness of the way.It can improve the safety management level of construction enterprises and improve the safety management performance of construction enterprises.
