Salvia miltiorrhiza (Labiatae), as a well-known Chinese herbal medicine, has widely used in treatment of cardio-cerebral diseases. In clinic, danshen is not only one of TCM commonly used drugs for activating blood circulation and eliminating stasis, but also widely used in cardiovascular, liver and kidney, diabetes and cancer treatment of diseases in China.It had long cultivated salvia miltiorrhiza history in ZhongJiang since the Qing dynasty emperor guangxu period and more influence in current market. In 2009, "ZhongJiang danshen" had achieved success in both“Certificate of origin trademark”and " Geographic indication”. Many scholars across the country over to the genetic basis of salvia miltiorrhiza research indicated that ZhongJiang salvia miltiorrhiza obviously has unique differentiation of the genetic basis, but there were little known about the genetic basis of "ZhongJiang danshen".This paper is mainly with many molecular markers of "ZhongJiang danshen" based on its genetics and chemical component content. The results obtained as follows:1 Collected wild populations, cultivars and allied species for reserving gene resource and constructing danshen core germplasm.2 Established AFLP analysis methods for genetic diversity of plants and can be used for salvia genetic diversity, classification, evolution and distribution relationship of research.3 Developed a set of high specificity EST - SSR primer using bioinformatics method and had efficient amplification in s. miltiorrhiza and other plants in genus Salvia. It made abundant in genetic markers, accelerate utilizing EST resources, and can be exploring and applying for diversity research, genetic mapping, auxiliary selection, gene excavation and related molecular biology research.4 Discusses DNA barcode technology in genus salvia. AtpB-rbcL and TrnT - trnL in danshen and sage sequence of other plants have higher efficiency and identify.5 The gentic diversity S. miltiorrhiza from ZhongJiang, using HPLC chemical analysis technology, AFLP and EST - SSR molecular genetics method have unique genetic characteristics, and different from other regions. The population exist 3 groups, which every group has abundant genetic diversity. The relation between genetic distance and the content of efficacy component is not correlation. The sequence changes in the process of artificial domestication had certain correlation with biosynthesis enzyme in secondary metabolites process.6 Cloned a function related gene SmSAMDC (GU983041), and constructed antisense and expression vector.
