Research On Russian Translation Of Political Expressions With Chinese Characteristics In The New Era

The foreign translation of political documents plays a special and important role in the country's external publicity of political ideas.The quality of its translation directly affects the effectiveness of the country's external propaganda work,and it is related to the ability to accurately convey the Chinese voice to the international community.The political expressions with Chinese characteristics in the new era focuses on reflecting the political,economic,social,cultural,diplomatic and other concepts of governance with Chinese characteristics put forward by the Party Central Committee with Xi Jinping as the core in the new era,and expressions have distinctive Chinese cultural characteristics.The political expressions with Chinese characteristics plays a fundamental role in our country's contemporary political discourse system.These expressions are the key and difficult points in the translation of political documents.Through the investigation of the research status of the subject,it is found that there are not many research results on the Russian translation of political expressions with Chinese characteristics at home and abroad,and the research results based on corpus analysis and audience understanding survey are even rarer.This article is guided by the skopos and adaptation theory,using the report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the 2016-2020 government work report and "Xi Jinping on State Governance"(Volumes 1-2)to study Russian translation of political expressions with Chinese characteristics.Our research can not only summarize experience,enrich the research results in this field,provide guidance and reference for translation practice,but also discover and analyze problems in the research process,and promote the continuous improvement of its translation quality.It has important theoretical and practical significance..According to the skopos and adaptation theory,the translation of political documents should take the principle of accurately disseminating the Chinese voice as the supreme purpose,and strive to achieve language adaptation and context adaptation.Following the corpus translation theory and research methods to investigate the characteristics and laws of translation,it can effectively avoid the subjectivity of translation analysis and provide a scientific basis for the study of translation strategies and methods.According to the theory of reader acceptance,the evaluation of translation quality should consider the understanding and acceptance of the target language readers,so as to ensure the effective dissemination of the translation among the audience.The five aspects and four perspectives of Newmark's translation criticism,and the "two triangles" translation evaluation system proposed by Huang Zhonglian,provide reference perspectives and standards for the evaluation of the translation quality of this article.The corpus analysis method is used to investigate the linguistic features of the translation of political expressions with Chinese characteristics and the application of translation methods.It is found that the translation reproduces the original information well and has obvious characteristics of written language;the statistics of translation methods found that translation of the four-character pattern and the form of proverbs prefers literal translation;translation of abbreviated vocabulary prefers interpretation;translation of metaphorical vocabulary translation often uses free interpretation and substitution;translation of classic famous sentences uses different methods.Surveying Russian audiences' understanding and acceptance of the Russian translation of political expressions with Chinese characteristics through questionnaire surveys shows that the audience's understanding and acceptance of the translations are generally high.The audience's understanding of the translations containing special cultural information that are translated by literal translation method is low,and the understanding of the translation after compensating method is increased.Further analysis of the translation confirms that although literal translation is faithful to the original translation in some cases,because Chinese and Russian belong to different language families and have their own particularities,in most cases it is more appropriate to use compensating methods including explicitation,simplification and normalization to achieve two-way language adaptation and context adaptation.This article evaluates the translation from two aspects: language and culture.Analysis at the linguistic level found that translation problems were mostly caused by interference from the mother tongue;analysis at the cultural level found that translation problems were mostly caused by differences in Chinese and Russian cultural schemas.The reasons for translation problems include: emphasis on language form equivalence in translation strategy,and literal translation in method.On the basis of summarizing the main research results and conclusions of the full text,we put forward the conception of a Russian translation model of political expressions with Chinese characteristics.The main suggestions include: translation strategies should pay attention to the dialectical unity of form and content,and the dialectical unity of communication and acceptance.In the application of methods,corresponding or compensatory methods should be adopted according to the actual situation to achieve(two-way)language and context adaptability.In summary,this research has achieved the following three innovations: 1.Comprehensively use the advantages of corpus translation studies,skopos and adaptation theory,audience acceptance theory,and translation quality evaluation theory to form a more reasonable theoretical framework;2.From language adaptation and context adaptation,as well as audience understanding,in-language evaluation and extra-linguistic evaluation,observe and analyze translations from multiple dimensions and perspectives,and strive to achieve a systematic analysis of translations;3.focus on quantitative research,combining quantitative and qualitative research.To a certain extent,the subjective judgment in the argumentation process is avoided.This research has enriched the research results of Russian translation of political documents and provided reference for related translation practices.
