Public education is the main window for art museums to face the public,provide public cultural services and popularize social aesthetic education,and also an important carrier for art museums to realize their educational functions.Taking public education as the carrier of education,art museum should not only construct public education of Art Museum in different farms of public education activities,but also extend to the social significance and various cultures behind the exhibition according to different forms of exhibition and combined with the exhibition's internal concept of curation.In this context,how to construct and transfer the concept through public education,how to combine exhibition in public education,how to show the relationship between domestic culture and foreign culture to the audience,is one of the important tasks of public education a public cultural service institution.As a public cultural service institution,China Art Museum promotes China's mainstream art,which represents the top level of the mainstream culture.Its exhibition and collection all represent the culture of China Art Museum,and so does the public education project.Now,we vigorously promote the concept of behavioral audience service and how public education can participate in the construction of China Art Museum.This paper combs the historical context of the Chinese art museum since it has the function of public education.Through the research on the enlightenment,development and maturity stages of the Chinese Art Museum,it finds out the problems in these three periods and analyzes the reasons in depth.This paper analyzes the current situation of public education of art galleries in China,explores the development direction of public education of art.galleries in China,seeks the public education mode which is suitable for the current situation of China and embodies our Chinese characteri stics,and provides effective reference for the theoretical construction and practice of the meager force cause of public education of art galleries in China.
