In the National Conference on Ideological and Political Work in Colleges and Universities,General Secretary Xi Jinping developed the idea that “to do a good job in ideological and political work in colleges and universities,it is necessary to change according to the matter,advance according to the time and be new according to the situation.We should follow the law of ideological and political work,the law of teaching and education,the law of students' growth,and constantly improve our working ability and level”.The emphasis and attention of General Secretary Xi on the “three major laws” not only provides the action guide for the effective promotion of ideological and political work in colleges and universities but also puts forward new requirements for the ideological and political workers to grasp the law of college students' growth and judge the ideological dynamics.From the perspective of theoretical review of ideological and political work in colleges and universities,these “three major laws” involve ideological and political work,teaching and educating,and students' growth.They reflect the systematic and hierarchical nature of the macro-level to the micro-level and have a close logical relationship: Following the law of teaching and education and students' growth is the external manifestation of following the law of ideological and political work;following the law of teaching and education is the main way to follow the law of ideological and political work;following the law of students' growth is the fundamental guarantee and value of following the law of ideological and political work and the law of teaching and education.Because of the accelerated intergenerational turnover of college students in the Internet era,the research on the growth and change pattern of contemporary college students needs to be strengthened.Firstly,the situation of the times affecting the growth of contemporary college students should be discussed.The growth of contemporary college students cannot be separated from the influence of social background and social environment,and that the law of growth plays a dominant role in the growth process is also carried out in the social environment.Nowadays,the social background that affects the formation of the law of college students' growth mainly has six environmental factors: economic globalization,cultural diversification,social secularization,life technology,interaction virtualization,and family diversification.In addition to the objective and universal characteristics of the law,the law of growth of contemporary college students also has the characteristics of modernity and development.Secondly,the general laws of the growth of contemporary college students should be studied.The general laws that exist in the growth process of contemporary college students,which apply to the group of contemporary college students and are the common characteristics of the members of this group,need to be revealed and mastered.The law of growth of contemporary college students governs the growth and success of contemporary college students,and the understanding of it starts from the recognition of one specific general law.The revelation of the general law of the growth of contemporary college students needs to start from the mainstream phenomena and characteristics which are shown by the growth
