The Structure,mechanism And Governance Of Endogenous Power For Poverty Elimination

Poverty alleviation is a systematic project involving the allocation of both internal and external resources,and in addition to external resources,psychological resources should also be focused on.Since external causes take on their roles through internal causes,the endogenous power for poverty elimination as a key psychological resource has been increasingly valued,and topics related to psychologically targeted poverty alleviation have attracted more and more attention in the context of poverty alleviation.In consideration of the current status of inadequate endogenous power among the poor,the essence of psychologically targeted poverty alleviation is to stimulate proactive endogenous power of the poor in a targeted manner and build a long-term effective driving force mechanism for poverty alleviation from bottom to top,so as to lay a solid foundation for rural revitalization.Taking the Chinese psychological concept of the endogenous power for poverty elimination as an entry point,this dissertation proposed and clarified the internal structure and action mechanisms of the Three-Factor Onion Model for the endogenous power for poverty elimination from the perspective of managerial psychology;on this basis,an endogenous power scale for poverty elimination with high reliability and validity was compiled according to the principles of psychometrics.Meanwhile,an integral endogenous power depletion model for families in poverty over generations was constructed by establishing a holistic analysis framework based on the perspective of endogenous and exogenous integration.The study is carried out based on the following logical steps: first,studying the mechanism of endogenous power for poverty elimination;second,exploring the core elements of endogenous power;third,clarifying the key psychosocial driving force;fourth,probing into key familial psychological driving force;fifth,proposing the governance path based on psychological poverty alleviation.Only when the integral endogenous power resources(including the individual psychological driving force,psychosocial driving force,and familial psychological driving force)and the external support resources form a synergy,can families jump out of the trap of intergenerational poverty.The main work and conclusions are as follows:(1)Qualitative research on the endogenous power for poverty elimination.Based on the Grounded Theory method which involves in-depth interviews,the internal structure and external causes of the endogenous power for poverty elimination were investigated to provide an integrated framework for subsequent quantitative research on endogenous power mechanisms for poverty alleviation.The results indicate that:first,the Three-factor Onion Model with negative values,negative self-concept,and the behavioral tendencies of passive anti-poverty as the core factors was found to be the endogenous driving force of generations of low-income individuals.Second,perceived control loss as a psychosocial driving force is an important cause of the lack of endogenous power among those poverty-stricken people for generations,and the combination of a lack of market rationality and campaign-style poverty alleviation are external causes of perceived control loss.Third,under the influence of the construction of inner capacities,parenting capabilities take an intermediate role during the promotion of endogenous powers to their offspring.(2)Research on the core internal causes affecting the endogenous power for poverty elimination.In the experiment,self-written vignettes were used to activate the compensatory stereotypes of the participants,and it was found that the compensatory stereotypes caused by the system justification motive will maintain the individual's social justice perception to a certain extent.The mass media might be subconsciously creating a compensatory stereotype of “the poor are good,and the rich are bad”,which inhibits poor individuals' endogenous power for poverty elimination.(3)Research on the influences of key psychosocial driving forces on endogenous power for poverty alleviation.This study selected poverty alleviation teams(state-owned companies + rural households)as the research object,two-level hierarchical linear modeling was adopted to analyze the data from supervisorsubordinate dyads.The results show that both leader time urgency and LMX had positive effects on endogenous power for poverty elimination.In addition,leader time urgency enhanced the positive effect of LMX on endogenous power.(4)Influencing mechanisms of key familial psychological driving forces on endogenous power for poverty elimination.In this study,a large sample of middle school students from poor counties were recruited as research participants,and the structural equation model was adopted to analyze the data.The results reveal that parenting capabilities play a partial mediation role between the construction of inner capacities and children's endogenous power for poverty elimination;the two dimensions of parenting capacities,that's,the mediation role of parental companionship is greater than that of parental attention.(5)Research on the multi-dimensional governance of the endogenous power for poverty elimination.Psychologically targeted poverty alleviation is the key to establishing a long-term mechanism for poverty alleviation.This dissertation proposes the policy design and team building of psychological poverty alleviation,which is the concern of the government;from the perspective of modernity,it is suggested to cultivate the psychological modernity and market rationality of the poor,which is the direction of social efforts.On the other hand,in view of the lack of endogenous power of poor individuals,educational intervention and family function improvement are important countermeasures to the cultivation of endogenous power for poverty alleviation and the blocking of intergenerational transmission of poverty.
