| Based on the theories and methods of contemporary international competitiveness and with the formation and development of the automotive industry of the four ASEAN countries(Indonesia,Malaysia,Thailand and Vietnam)as the main line,this paper expounds the development course of the automotive industry of the four ASEAN countries,analyzes the automotive industry policies and their characteristics of the governments of various countries,and demonstrates the multinational corporations in these countries.The status and role of the automobile industry are empirically studied by using RCA and TC,and the countermeasures and suggestions are put forward to further enhance the competitiveness of the automobile industry of the four ASEAN countries.The paper is divided into seven chapters:Chapter one is introduction.This chapter outlines the background and significance of this study,reviews the relevant literature at home and abroad,introduces the research methods,main contents,innovations and shortcomings.The second chapter is about the theory of international competitiveness.This chapter first introduces the concept of international competitiveness,and expounds the theoretical basis of contemporary international competitiveness,including comparative advantage theory,competitive advantage theory,international competitive advantage of the "diamond model" and so on.The third chapter is about the development of automobile industry in the Four ASEAN countries.This chapter elaborates the forming and developing process of the automobile industry of the four ASEAN countries,analyzes the domestic production,sales and import and export structure of the automobile industry of each country,and explores the development status of the automobile industry related industries in these countriesThe fourth chapter is about the Four ASEAN countries’ automobile industry policy.This chapter discusses the formation and development of the automotive industry in the four ASEAN countries,which is closely related to the automotive industry policies implemented by the governments of various countries.The fifth chapter is about multinational corporations and the Four ASEAN countries’auto industry.This chapter expounds the status and role of transnational corporations in the automobile industry of the four ASEAN countries.Foreign automobile manufacturers’investment in the four ASEAN countries has played an important role in promoting local economic development,upgrading industrial structure,expanding exports and integrating into the global supply chain.The sixth chapter is empirical research on the international competitiveness of the Four ASEAN countries’ automobile industry.This chapter expounds the changes of the international status of the automobile industry of the four ASEAN countries,and analyzes their comparative advantages and competitive advantages in the global automobile market by using the RCA and TC.The seventh chapter is the conclusion and countermeasures.This chapter makes an overall evaluation of the international competitiveness of the automobile industry of the four ASEAN countries,provides the experience and lessons for the development of the automobile industry of the developing countries,and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for the four ASEAN countries to further enhance the competitiveness of the automobile industry. |
