In 2014,the State Council issued The Implementation Opinion on Deepening the Reform of Examination and Enrollment System(The No.35 Document of the State Co uncil[2014]),marking the official opening of the comprehensive reform of college ent rance examination. As a systematic and comprehensive reform, the new college entran ce examination scheme has had an extensive and in-depth impact on senior high schoo ls in the pilot areas.A comprehensive and systematic study of the impact of the new c ollege entrance examination on senior high school teaching is helpful to clarify the act ual educational effects and problems of the new college entrance examination, underst and the process of the new college entrance examination playing its educational functi on,expand the practical and theoretical research on the interaction between the new c ollege entrance examination and high school teaching, and has important enlightening significance for improving the college entrance examination policy and strengthening the educational function of the college entrance examination. Many scholars in the academic circle discuss the issue of "the impact of the new college entrance examination on high school teaching",but pay less attention on "the process of the impact of the new college entrance examination on high school teachin g".Taking strengthening the educational function of college entrance examination as t he main line, this paper constructs a research framework from the perspectives of poli cy function, policy evaluation and policy implementation, interviews more than 270 st akeholders from 16 senior high schools,5 provincial education examination institutio ns and 6 universities in three batches of six provinces and cities, and uses the coding t echnology of grounded theory to process the interview data, analyzing the expected i mpact, impact results and impact process of the comprehensive reform of the college entrance examination on senior high school teaching comprehensively, and finally put forward policy suggestions to strengthen the educational function of the college entra nce examination. The main contents of the full text are as follows:Foremost, efforts are invested to study educational function of the comprehensiv e reform of the college entrance examination, that is,the impact of the new college ent rance examination expectations on high school teaching.Endowed with connotations of freedom and comprehensiveness, fairness, and guidance, the function covers educat ion targets and expected paths to act them out.The new college entrance examination attempts to encourage high schools open up elective courses, cultivate students’ core li teracy, and underline students’ comprehensive quality, thus to promote their healthy,o verall, individual and sustainable development,as changes are made to the examinatio n form, content, enrollment and admission mechanism.Central and provincial official s rolled out revisions and policies to eliminate problems and contradictions arising fro m the pilot,so as to effectively keep educational function of the reform staying on trac k.and sticks to the original intention of educating people.Second,it dissects impacts of the reform on teaching management of senior high schools. The new college entrance examination largely affects the teaching manageme nt in student course selection, individualized class teaching, and comprehensive qualit y evaluation.Elective examinations help students to highlight their personality and ex ert their strengths, and boost diverse development of senior high schools.Problems,h owever, such as ignoring students’ right to choose courses, and abuse of course selecti on rights by high schools and students challenge corresponding faculty management a nd teaching evaluation, college talent cultivation, and dissatisfies national talent needs.Meanwhile, individualized courses raised threshold for curriculum arrangement, com plicated students management, and ran out teaching resources, despite its shines in saf eguarding students’ right to take up courses freely.Noticeable are progresses made to procedures and methods by the fresh comprehensive quality evaluation, however,so a re the prevalence of formalism, poor practical operability, and other implementation h azards. In addition, evaluation materials by colleges and universities show flaws of un fairness, weak comparability, and strong utilitarianism.Third,it discusses impacts of comprehensive reform of college entrance exam on courses teaching of senior high schools.Mere impacts by the all-round reform are ma inly mirrored in subject curriculum and career planning courses.Teachers attach incre asing attention to the quality of subject thinking. But changes of propositions and rene wal of teaching materials triggered varying teaching confusions. Moreover, emerging examination form abetted utilitatianism of students, disrupted teaching schedule, and made it difficult to grasp teaching. The new college entrance examination,on the othe r hand, raised status of career planning courses and encouraged students to plan their s tudies scientifically.Unfortunately, activists misunderstand career planning education and biased utilitarianism.Senior high schools lack career planning capabilities and res ources, and the public and families offer weak systemic support.Fourth,it analysis impacts of comprehensive reform of college entrance exam on teaching of senior high schools.Taking course selection and individualized classes as an example, this paper describes and analyzes implementation of the new college entr ance examination policy by two case senior high schools:GZ1-5 refers to senior high schools that faithfully implement the policy.GZ3-6 are stable policy executors that im plement "restricted course selection+individualized courses-free mode" and relativel y moderate game of interests.Fifth,it probes into impacts of comprehensive reform of college entrance exam o n interactive teaching of senior high schools.Impact of the new college entrance exam ination on high school teaching originates from their mutual interaction.Theories of p olicy, sociology and education are adopted to study interaction of the new college entr ance examination and high school teaching, and output a "model of their interaction",including reproduction of test-taking behavior and policies "implicitly pushed" by the field and habits.Based on the reflection on the education function of the comprehensive reform of the college entrance examination, this paper draws the following research conclusion s.On the bright side, the new college entrance examination promotes individualized d evelopment of students and shifts attention of teaching to the quality of subject thinkin g;while adversely,it complicates speculative behavior, interrupts distribution of resou rces, and destroys the scientificity and fairness of education;moreover, the weak educ ation effect shows a severe formalization.Education function of the new college entra nce examination is found to be characterized in dual character and complexity.Aforementioned efforts offer following policy suggestions for strengthening the education function of the college entrance examination:first,it should understand edu cation function of the exam basing the real field in accordance with reform principles of scientificity, fairness and guidance;second, progress should be made in gradually a dvancing the reform and clearing up speculative examination dilemma;next,it should strengthen the examination reform to enrich connotation of educating people in the co llege entrance examination;fourth, efforts should be redoubled in exploring the refor m of the enrollment and admission mechanism to bring forth fresh way of educating p eople in senior high schools;at last,a dynamic policy adjustment mechanism should b e built to strengthen feedback on effects of educating people.
