Zhe Jiang and Shang Hai were the first to test the new college entrance examination in 2014,and they both completed the first full new college entrance examination in July 0f 2017.A new college entrance exam will also be introduced in Hu Nan province from the start of the freshman year in the autumn of 2018.Research on the direction of the new college entrance examination through the pilot area provides a time frame for reference which is in the coming reform in order to make a urgent comparison for the the new and old exam papers.Besides,since geography has been considered as an integral part of the liberal arts in the old college entrance examination.Thus,in the new college entrance exam it will be the one of six to be choose.Therefore,how to prepare for the new geography exam and how to let the geography have a better development are the urgent task for the geography educators.The new and old geographic college entrance exams have been analyzed by this paper by using documentary method,the comparative method and other methods in order to analyze the impact of the new college entrance examination on high school geography and get the relevant enlightenment to meet the new college entrance examination.This paper is mainly composed of three parts and contains five chapters as well,the details are as follows:Part One: The background and significance of the topic selection has been mainly introduced.In addition,the research status,the purpose and content of the study,the research methods and the research lines of geographical education have been analyzed as well.Part Two: China's middle school geography and education reform road have been recalled and the reform presents opportunities for geography of this time has been spoke out.Besides,the changes brought about by the new college entrance examination has been analyzed,the key contrast for new and old geographic college entrance exams in Zhe Jiang and Hu Nan since 2014 has been made as well.Looking at the contrast of the exam papers as the starting point to find the new geographic college entrance exam changes,and then making the comparative analysis from the time of the test,the structure for the exam paper,the background material for the exam paper,the distribution of knowledge points and other aspects in order to analyze the “creation” of the new geographic college entrance exams.Part Three: The influence and revelation of the new college entrance examination to middle school geography have been discussed through the challenge for students,the require for the ability of teachers,the schools should prepare for change and other aspects.Epilogue: The opportunities and challenges that the new college entrance examination bring to high school geography have been defined,the development of geography also requires the continuous efforts for researchers as well as the first-line teachers of geographical education have also been pointed out through the briefly review the results of this study.Therefore,he work of geography teaching should follow the development of social progress and the research is more than a pause.
