A Study On Effects Of Export Trade On Quality Of China’s Population Urbanization

Human-oriented urbanization is the main direction of national urbanization,so it is turning into a major practical problem which China faces that studying the quality of population urbanization based on human-oriented.Reviewing the core literature on the quality of population urbanization,the majority mainly focused on investigating the urbanization quality and domestic affecting factors by using national time series data,provincial panel data,and prefectural cross-sectional data,few literatures investigating the urbanization quality and export by using prefectural panel data.Therefore,the study on the effects of export based on the micro data of 288 prefecture-level cities has certain academic significance,and is a beneficial supplement to the existing research literature on the quality of population urbanization.The basic work of this study is as follows.Sorting the mainstream literature on urbanization and urbanization quality,which gets that the connotation of the quality of population urbanization is the better life of urban residents,and the core dimension is the employability,livability and urban-rural coordinated development of population urbanization.This dissertation adopts the “vertical and horizontal” scatter degree method to measure the quality of population urbanization and analyzes its’ overall characteristics and regional characteristics.Summarizing the relationship between export trade and the quality of population urbanization,which gets that export trade delays or promotes the quality of population urbanization,and few literatures analyzes the effect of export trade on the quality of population urbanization considering the spatial correlation,while few literatures consider the effect of export trade structure.Therefore,this study constructs the composite index on the quality of population urbanization from the core dimensions of population urbanization: employability,livability and urban-rural coordinated development of population urbanization and sorts out the possible paths that export trade has effects on the employability,livability and urban-rural coordinated development of population urbanization and introduces the spatial correlation theory.The effects of export trade on the employability,livability and urban-rural coordinated development of population urbanization are analyzed by using spatial panel lag model and Durbin model,and the export trade commodity structure,export trade mode structure and export trade main body structure are used as proxy variables for robust analysis,in order to draw a reasonable conclusion.The conclusions of this study are as follows.The index,which are employability,livability,urban-rural coordinated development of population urbanization,show a slight increase,and the regional differences are showed.There are positive spatial spillover effects of the employability,livability and urban-rural coordinated development of population urbanization.Export trade directly and indirectly promotes the employability of population urbanization through economic scale and industrial structure and export trade expands by 1%,and the employability of population urbanization increases by0.0149%.Export trade promotes directly and indirectly livability of population urbanization through the employment scale,urban-rural income gap,and export trade expands by 1%,livability of the population urbanization increases by 0.9727%.Export trade directly and indirectly promotes the urban-rural coordinated development of the population urbanization through agglomeration effect,industrial structure and institutional quality and export trade expands by 1% and the urban-rural coordinated development of the population urbanization increases by 0.131%.The contributions of this study are as follows: making full use of the panel data of288 prefecture-level cities from 2005 to 2018 and the micro-data of enterprises from 2005 to 2016 in China Customs database to explore the influence of export trade on the quality of population urbanization from the micro-level aspect systematically;constructing the composite index of the quality of population urbanization from three dimensions which contains employablity,livability and the urban-rural coordinated development of quality of population urbanization;elucidating the effects mechanism of export trade on the employablity,livability and urban-rural coordinated development of the quality of population urbanization,verifying the reliability of the effect of export trade on the quality of population urbanization through industrial structure,economic scale,employment scale,urban-rural income gap,environmental quality and institution quality,broaden the external driving force to improve the quality of population urbanization;the spatial correlation of the quality of population urbanization being considered in few literature,but this study systematically introduces the spatial correlation to expand the research scope of population urbanization quality.Spatial correlation was introduced into the econometric analysis of the impact of export trade on the quality of population urbanization in three dimensions,namely employablity,livability and urban-rural coordinated development,and robustness test was conducted by using commodity structure,trade mode structure and main body structure of export trade,which effectively improved the reliability of the research conclusions.
