The self-education status of the educated people largely determines the effect of ideological and political education,and self-evaluation is the premise and foundation of self-education.Fully mobilizing the enthusiasm and initiative of college students’ selfevaluation and cultivating college students’ self-evaluation ability can enhance the motivation of college students’ self-education,improve the ability of college students’ self-education,and then better achieve the goal of college students’ ideological and political education.Therefore,the research on college students’ self-evaluation ability and its cultivation is an essential content of ideological and political education research.It has important theoretical significance and practical value for strengthening the ideological and political education of college students.The thesis takes the Marxist theory of human development,the subject theory of ideological and political education,the theory of ideological and political education process,and developmental psychology as the theoretical basis for the research,and comprehensively uses the methods of literature research and system analysis to carry out research.On the basis of defining the concept of college students’ self-evaluation ability,it analyzes the composition and characteristics of college students’ self-evaluation ability,as well as the training objectives and training process of college students’ self-evaluation ability.It is found that the self-evaluation ability of college students includes six aspects: self-evaluation awareness,self-evaluation knowledge and skills,self-evaluation emotion,self-cognitive ability,self-reflection ability,and self-regulation ability;the self-evaluation ability of college students has characteristicssuch as the initiative and blindness of evaluation power,the comprehensiveness and contradiction of evaluation content,the subjectivity and ambiguity of evaluation standards,the certainty and falsity of evaluation results,the independence and dependence of evaluation ability;the cultivation of college students’ self-evaluation ability takes strengthening self-cognitive ability,enhancing self-reflection ability,and improving self-regulation ability as the internal goal,and to coordinate interpersonal relationships,standardizing social behavior,and inheriting mainstream culture as the external goal;the self-evaluation ability of college students develops dynamically and cyclically,and theyhave to experience the development process of "self-cognition-self-reflection-self-regulation-self-improvement".Based on the theoretical research results,it’s necessary to construct research hypotheses and theoretical models and compile the “Questionnaire on the Current Situation of College Students’ Self-evaluation Ability” and the “Questionnaire on Influencing Factors of College Students’ Self-evaluation Ability”,carrying out a survey on the current situation and influencing factors of college students’ self-evaluation ability.It is found that the overall self-evaluation ability of college students is at a moderate level,but there are still some college students’ self-evaluation ability underdeveloped.Moreover,through Pearson correlation analysis and regression analysis,it is found that the self-evaluation ability of college students is affected by the evaluation environment of colleges,teachers’ guidance and feedback,peer comparison and other school factors,family factors such as parent-child relationship and parenting style,social factors such as social practice and other people’s evaluation,and interpersonal relationships and core values.On the basis of in-depth analysis of the problems existing in the cultivation of college students’ self-evaluation ability,this paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to improve the cultivation of college students’ self-evaluation ability,which is a combination of colleges,families,society,and individuals:universitiesenhancing the positional awareness of college students’ self-evaluation ability development,families providing emotional support on college students’ self-evaluation ability training,the society broadening the practical ways of college students’ self-evaluation ability training,and Give full play to the main role of college students in the development of self-evaluation ability.
