In the context of urban development entering the metropolitan age,the public administration has conducted in-depth research on the issues related to metropolitan space with remarkable progress been made.However,there are still some issues worth clarifying and further discussing :(1)Does the urban construction land of each metropolitan city show specific scale grade distribution characteristics?(2)Does the spatial evolution of urban construction land in metropolitan also follow the laws of spatial self-organization and other organization evolution? Is it affected by both spatial law and economic and social development?(3)How to measure the rationality of spatial evolution for urban construction land in metropolitan? Is there a consistent characteristic between its spatial evolution and that of metropolitan? In this paper,metropolitan city of Wuhan was investigated as the research object to verify the hypothesis that the urban construction land in metropolitan is the real object of metropolitan space.The research findings indicate that the characteristics of the urban construction land such as its size,morphological state and,grade,as well as the economic,industrial and,social benefits,are consistent with the functional level of the city within the metropolitan.In addition,the spatial evolution of urban construction land in the metropolitan shows phased changes,which are consistent with the spatial evolution of the metropolitan.This paper summarizes the spatial self-other organization evolution mode of urban construction land in metropolitan,enrichis the theory and method system of spatial management of urban construction land in metropolitan,and provides practical basis for the formulation of spatial optimization and regulation policies of urban construction land in Wuhan metropolitans through empirical research.Taking Wuhan metropolitan as the research object,this paper applies the relevant principles and methods of urban geography on the spatial evolution of metropolitan area to the study of urban construction land space.Based on the systematic review of past research progress and related theories in first and second chapter,the third and fourth chapter evaluate the evolution of rationality for urban construction land in Wuhan metropolitan based on spatial self-organization evolution and other organization.The fifth chapter evaluates the rationality of space evolution for urban construction land in Wuhan metropolitan based on self-other organization evolvement,and the comparative analysis with the Wuhan metropolitan space evolution,and describe metropolitan space self-other organization evolvement process of urban construction land.The sixth chapter conducts factor analysis Wuhan metropolitan space on urban construction land,and identifies the influencing factors of space self-other organization evolvement and driving mechanism on urban construction land in Wuhan metropolitan,proposing ideas of optimizing control.Chapter seven summarizes the research findings and,provides policy implications,and recommendation for future research.In chapter 3,chapter 4 and Chapter 5,the evaluation model of spatial self-organization evolution of urban construction land in metropolitan,the evaluation model of other organization evolution,and the evaluation model of self-organization evolution of urban construction land in metropolitan are constructed.The weight of each evaluation model is determined by the Analytic Hierarchy Process based on index importance interpretation.Based on the central place principle,rank-scale principle,spatial self-similarity principle and spatial interaction principle,this study calculates the rationality of spatial self-other organization evolution of urban construction land in Wuhan metropolitan.In chapter 6,entropy weight method is adopted to analyze the influencing factors and driving mechanism of spatial self-other organization evolution of urban construction land in Wuhan metropolitan based on dispersion degree of index data.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Urban construction land space in metropolitan is restricted by the law of spatial self-organization evolution and the level of economic and social development,and its spatial evolution is a process of self-other organization coupling evolution.(2)The self-organization evolution is the endogenous driving force of the spatial evolution of urban construction land in metropolitan,and the spatial law is the constraining mechanism of this evolution.The urban construction land in metropolitan is always constrained in the stable interval by the spatial law even though there are disturbance variables.Based on the five indicators of urban construction land scale,GDP generated by urban construction land per unit area,added value of tertiary industry,population agglomeration scale and GDP of each city,the fitting degree of each urban physical space in Wuhan metropolitan is 79.3%-86.7% with the central place model,and the difference is no more than 8%.At the same time,the fitting degree of the ranks-scale distribution model for urban construction in Wuhan metropolitan remains in the range of84.7%-95.6%,and the difference is no more than 10%.The scale grade and spatial distribution of urban construction land in Wuhan metropolitan are constrained in the stable interval,which verifies the restrictive effect of endogenous law on the spatial evolution of urban construction land in metropolitan.In 2003,2009,2013 and 2018,the spatial self-organization evolution degree of urban construction land in Wuhan metropolitan was 0.602,0.677,0.743 and 0.833,respectively,and the evolution degree increased year by year,approaching the theoretical paradigm,indicating that urban construction land space in Wuhan metropolitan was significantly constrained by the mechanism of self-organization evolution.(3)On the premise that the spatial self-organization evolution mechanism determines the basic spatial pattern of urban construction land in metropolitan,the mechanism of other organization evolution,as a dominant exogenous driving force,directly determines the rationality of spatial evolution of urban construction land in the metropolitan.The intensity and mode of economic development,industrial structure upgrading,industrial gradient transfer,population agglomeration and diffusion and spatial interaction generated on urban construction land are all dominant variables that determine the rationality of spatial evolution of urban construction land in metropolitan.All kinds of driving mechanism of economic and social,the fitting of the central place model was in a stable range.The rank-size distribution model of GDP,added value of tertiary industry and population index generated by urban construction land per unit area has significant difference in fitting degree and self-organization evolution.Meanwhile,the spatial connection intensity driven by urban construction land expansion has significant change.The results show that economic and social development has a significant impact on the spatial organization of urban construction land in metropolitan,and has a pull effect on the evolution of spatial self-organization.In 2003,2009,2013 and 2018,the spatial organizational evolution of urban construction land in Wuhan Metropolitan was 0.671,0.670,0.675 and 0.665,showing a trend of "decreasing →increasing → decreasing",and the overall evolution degree decreased.The synergistic effect of urban construction land spatial expansion and economic and social development has a dominant influence on its evolution,which directly determines the rationality of urban construction land spatial evolution in metropolitan.(4)The spatial evolution of urban construction land in metropolitan is an evolution process of self-other organization and driven by the dual mechanism of self-other organization.Under the comprehensive action of the two forces,it will gradually approach to the spatial paradigm.In 2003,2009,2013 and 2018,the spatial evolution degree of urban construction land in Wuhan metropolitan was 0.637,0.673,0.708 and0.748,respectively.The evolution degree keeps increasing,and the spatial system of urban construction land gradually moves towards a more reasonable direction.In self-organization evolution,driven by the Wuhan Metropolitan space system of urban construction land rapid evolution towards a more reasonable,but by other organization evolution mechanism of the stretch,the space of urban construction land general slowness,two kinds of mechanism combination,the Wuhan metropolitan space of urban construction land was still slow evolution towards a more reasonable.(5)The core factors that determine the spatial evolution of urban construction land in metropolitan are the expansion state of urban construction land and the change of spatial connection intensity and utilization efficiency of urban construction land caused by it.The difference in the expansion trend of urban construction land leads to the change of the influence range of urban physical space,the shortening of the real distance between cities,and the improvement of the spatial connection intensity of the metropolitan.The centrality index of the membership degree of the connection intensity directly affects the rationality of the spatial evolution of urban construction land in the metropolitan.The matching degree between the expansion rate of urban construction land and the rate of economic and social development and industrial structure upgrading affects the spatial pattern of urban construction land efficiency,and thus determines the rationality of urban construction land spatial evolution in metropolitan.Therefore,the core driving mechanism influencing the rationality of the spatial evolution of urban construction land in the metropolitan is the change of the balance of spatial connection intensity caused by the expansion difference of urban construction land,as well as the hierarchical distribution and spatial distribution difference of economic efficiency,industrial efficiency,and social benefit of urban construction land.(6)In view of the core influencing mechanism of spatial evolution of urban construction land in metropolitan,the spatial optimization and regulation of urban construction land in Wuhan metropolitan should focus on the expansion and regulation of urban construction land matching with economic and social development,with the intensity control and direction guidance of urban construction land expansion in each city as the main means.Focus on building the main expansion axis of "Xiantao,Wuhan,Ezhou,Huangshi " and the secondary expansion axis of "Xiaogan,Wuhan,Huanggang ".Slowing down the expansion rate of urban construction land in Wuhan;Moderately increase the expansion rate of urban construction land in Xiantao,Xiaogan and Huangshi;Maintain the current situation of urban construction land expansion in Ezhou,Qianjiang and Huanggang;Control the expansion rate of urban construction land in Tianmen;Strictly control xianning city urban construction land expansion.The possible innovations of the research mainly include two aspects :(1)the innovation of research perspective: based on the dual perspectives of endogenous spatial law and external economic and social influence,the spatial evolution of urban construction land in metropolitan is systematically studied from the perspective of spatial integrity in metropolitan.(2)the research method innovation,city geography space of self-other organization evolution method system,urban construction land in metropolitan space study,combined with spatial econometric methods and econometric methods,using different subject combination method,set up comprehensive methods system of metropolitan space on urban construction land based on self-other organization evolvement.
