NC(Numerical Control) technology is the fundamental supporting technology of modern manufacturing industry, the level of which has become an important sign of the level of a country's industrial modernization.At present, CNC(Computer Numerical Control) training has become an important practice teaching link in the engineering training of domestic university, however, training items are almost limited to CAD/CAM and NC teaching. The principles of NC technology teaching often only remains at the theoretical level or is confined to individual links, and it lacks an open, complete and transparent practice training platform to support.According to the actual situation of CNC training in the engineering training center of NUAA(Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics), the thesis has used the old machine tool, independently developed an open architecture CNC training platform based on PC and implemented the basic functions of the CNC lathe. Oriented to practice teaching and designed with a modular structure, system implements the functions of NC program in mode of man-machine interactive, such as pre-compile, compile, fine interpolation, rough interpolation and so on. At the same time, the system has explicitly demonstrated the whole process of CNC system from NC programming to control pulse output. The system with strong interaction uses abundant teaching-aid means and has unique teaching characteristics.The system uses NC-embedded PC structure which has good open characteristic. The overall control scheme of NC technology teaching platform and the system's electric control part are designed in this article, and hardware characteristics of motion control card, the design detail of electric control part and the electric system connection are expounded in detail. System software with distinctive teaching characteristics is developed independently in this paper that expounds in detail the design concept of human-computer control interface module and kernel control module, the realization process of the key parts of decoding, interpolation, system status monitoring, processing mode selection and machine tool holder control, and describes the design ideas and concrete implementation process of the teaching function parts. Finally, the article expounds in detail the system's teaching process and training items. The system is now applied to the teaching of principles of NC technology in the engineering training center of NUAA and it has good effect.This system makes up for the deficiency of CNC training in the engineering training center, and it has important practical significance for the comprehensive cognitive teaching approach of NC technology.
