Compared with uplands cotton, long-staple cotton has the longer fiber and high tenacity. So it becomes the required component in weaving the high quality yarn. With the economic condition has become better, the structure of weaving has changed, and more and more long-staple cotton has been required. However long fiber makes the weaving process difficult, for the longer the fiber is, the easier it becomes to be ruptured and the easier the cotton gin be twisted.In foreign countries, especially in the United States, there is a long history in studying the long-staple cotton manufacturing machine-roller gin. But in our country, the study just began in 1970's, and there had no breakthrough in these years. It is necessary to design a new kink of cotton gin to meet the demand of weaving industry.This thesis paper started from the experiments of long-staple cotton roller gins, with the model number 6MPY-100B, which was devised in the Ninth Five-year Plan. Then the equation of the parameters, including the dimension of leather roller, the rotate speed of leather roller, moisture percentage , etc, was discovered. And through making a search of the optimized relationship between every parameters, the maximum productivity was found.From the view of practice, the equation and the optimized relationship would be very helpful to the designing of roller gin.
