At present, the treatments of urban garbage are three sorts: sanitation landfill, combustion and compostion. But the landfill leachate contaminates the environment heavily. Besides the white mud was let alone for a long time, invading large field and contaminating environment, destroying zoology balance.In the experiment we made research in order to find the outlet of white mud. Mixed white mud and urban garbage in different proportion, simulated the real condition of garbage decomposition in landfill, the experiment studies the rule of urban garbage decomposition when adding white mud in the landfill.We designed five experimental poles in our experiment, according to differ proportion of urban garbage and white mud (the white mud account for 0%, 5%, 10%, 20%, 30% of the total landfill quantity), then we Simulated the really condition of landfill, the garbage began to decompose.To sum up, the conclusion of the experiment is:(1) It is an economical approach of disposal white mud when adding proper quantity white mud in landfill.(2) The pH value of leachate is higher when adding the white mud, it can alleviate the heavy strong acidity problems of behind treatment of leachate, make the leachate easily to be treated by biochemistry treatment. Besides the metal ions are combining to deposit, those ions cannot contaminate the groundwater and soils.(3) The leachate can be effective treated when adding the white mud in the urban garbage. The white mud can adsorb, chelate, ion exchange and hold up the contaminations of landfill leachate.(4) The heavy alkali of white mud may form an environment that unsuitable the decomposition of urban garbage, slower the acidity ferment phase in the decomposition, and slower the stabilization of the landfill.(5) Besides, the white mud contains large amount of chlorine ions, those ions make the leachate has highly DS value. One disadvantage is those ions can contaminate the groundwater and soils. Another disadvantage is the corruption of the collecting pipeline of landfill leachate for the higher rigidity.
