Waterproof And Moisture Permeable Coating And Application Of PEG In Coating Finishing

In this work, waterproof and moisture permeable coating with the hydrophilic non-microporous film and complex coating with hydrophilic and microporous were studied.How to improve moisture permeability of coating fabrics with PEG(polyethylene glycol) was analyzed , the factors affecting on the properties of waterproof and moisture permeable fabrics, such as the molecular weight of PEG, the usage of PEG, the kind and the usage of cross-linking agent, were discussed.Meanwhile, by means of Infrared Spectra,SEM and DSC,and so on, the structure and properties of PU/PEG blends were investigated in surface structure, existing of crosslinking PEG ,tensile properties,the thermal property, etc, which indicated that the properties are related to the molecular weight of PEG and the usage of PEG .It was demonstrated that PEG can effectually improve moisture permeability of coating fabrics. Under an appropriate processing condition PEG also contribute the thermal activites to the PU/PEG blend, whichprovide theoretical basis for producing thermal regulating waterproof and moisture permeable coating fabric.
