The EIA (Environment Impact Assessment) of coastal waters is a very important aspect of EIA system. With the development of economy, more and more projects around the seashore are carried out, and these projects may bring some contaminations to the coastal waters near them and then the waters may be polluted, so more attentions are paid to the EIA of coastal waters which can help to master the influence of the contaminations from the seashore projects. For coastal waters, tidal flow is a basic hydrodynamic factor, and contaminations will be advected and diffuse with the movement of it. So before the EIA of coastal waters where projects are carried out, tidal current which provides hydrodynamic conditions for contaminations transported and diffusing must be mastered, and numerical simulation is an effective means. The result of numerical simulation is a huge datum which is not intuitionistic. This problem can be solved by drawing static tidal current map and demonstrating dynamic tidal current field. The main task of this dissertation includes the following three aspects:Firstly, by dispersing the long-wave equation on interlaced grids using ADI method, a two-dimension hydrodynamic model is established.Secondly, according to above two-dimension hydrodynamic model, using the program language, Visual Basic, numerical simulation of tidal current is programmed and the tidal current of Dalian Bay (the opening boundary is from Huang Bai Zui to Shan Xi Tou) is computed to validate the usability of the programs.Lastly, using the drawing function of Visual Basic, programs of drawing static tidal current field map and demonstrating dynamic Eular tidal current field are realized.
