Research And Design The Organic Curriculum Blending Subject Clue And Application In Society

Organic chemistry was a big branch of chemistry, which was characteristic of its broad application in modern society. For example, pharmaceutical manufacture, production of polymer material and exploration of life mechanism were all based on organic chemistry knowledge. The broad application in modern society of organic chemistry benefited human life a lot, while it did harm to our health and environment at the same time. Therefore, designers of middle school organic chemistry curriculum should consider not only its structure but also its connection with our society, including different aspects about industry, life and environmental protection, etc., Thus it helped students to understand the nature of organic chemistry better and to enhance their knowledge about this discipline.Two main objectives of this research on middle school organic chemistry curriculum were the academic and social attributes of organic chemistry. To classify the organic chemistry curriculum with modern curriculum theory and to show the tendency of its development in the perspective of international curriculum revolution depended on such research. Priority in designing organic chemistry curriculum in 21 century was to integrate its applications with its theoretic system effectively, which was also the focus of textbook design in this paper.In addition, research in this paper considered not only the character of the organic chemistry curriculum but also properties shared by all science curriculums. The latter was the background for the author to give his attitudes to the trend and design of the organic chemistry curriculum.
