The mould is one of the key equipment of continuous casting machine,mold oscillation is an important factor affecting the quality and output of production. Therefore, monitoring and analysis of mould oscillation state has important significance and practical value.Espacially the online monitoring provides more data reference.This paper basied on the study of No. 4 caster in steelmaking plant of Bashan Iron & Steel Co. Ltd. First of all, describes the development of mould oscillator at home and abroad, as well as present situation of detection technique of mould oscillation. Through visits to domestic Mills, the reserch of existing mould oscillation detect equipment had been taken, and established the on-line measurement of the mould, the top aere, as part of our research. Secondly, the mould oscillation mechanism was introduced, tow popular style framed oscillator and INMO oscillator was studed, while commonly used parameters are described in detail on vibration. With the detailed data, introduced how to determine the key process parameters such as frequency, amplitude, and casting speed. under the sine and non-sinusoidal mold oscillation. The study of actual production process parameters of No. 4caster gives the reference data for sensor type selection design. Subsequently,detailed hardware design of real-time condition monitoring system was introduced. Proceeding from the actual hardware design, that is, to consider the stability and reliability of the system, taking into consideration both the convenient installation and debugging of the equipment. Select reasonable checkpoint to ensure vibration device of testing data to reflect the actual situation, and on parts of the electrical box and sensor research is focused onthe simplicity of installation and use, one of the sensor protector to achieve the all-round protection of the acceleration sensor, is one key to realize online detection. Software design followed the hardware, in order to improve development efficiency, software design based on Labview platform. By using the virtual instrument technology and high speed digital signal processing, realized the calculation and display of accelerations, velocity,displacement, and to design appropriate data playback and alarm function.Finally, comminssioning on site, introduces the practical application of this system.
