The Rotory Press Filter is a new type of dewatering equipment. Dewater disc is a major part of The Rotory Press Filter. It has a complex structure with many holes and multi-loads. The structure, materials and parameters of the disc determine the dewater efficiency and working life of the filter. So it is significant to analyze the strength, deformation of the disc.In this paper the FEM package ANSYS is used to establish a parameterized 3-D finite element model of the dewater disc. By using orthogonal method the major factor which affects the stress intensity is found. The hollow axis with holes on the wall is designed because of the discharge of filtrate. On the one hand, the formula of safety factor on dangerous section is used to ensure the safety of the axis, on the other hand, WorkBench is used on the same aim. It is concluded that the results obtained from the two ways is identical basically.Finally, the compare between the dewater disc of this paper and the disc of Fournier on their structure.
