Mechanical pressure sludge dewatering machine is a new type of highly efficient sludge dewatering machine, which is mainly used in municipal sewage sludge dewatering. This machine has its own advantages, such as tighten structure, high efficiency, less energy consuming, small space occupancy, more friendly to the environment. Besides, according to the amount of product scale, this machine can be assembled by rational allocation modular filter units. Except for municipal sludge dewatering, but also can be used for papermaking, printing and dyeing and other industrial sludge dewatering.Through the comparative study work among the existing filter machines, this paper presents the new design of the mechnical compression sludge dewatering machine, including the structure design of the dewatering unit components and the stress drives design. The design for dewatering unit componets including as follows:dewatering support disk, rigid bracing plate, screen, filter liquid collection tank, steel frame, seals, scrpers, hydraulic ram, hydraulic ram flange support connection structure. The stress drives design mainly are calculating and choosing the correct hydraulic cylinder equipment.Based on the ANSYS, this paper did the finite element analysis on some important compartments of the mechanical compression sludge dewatering machine, to validate whether the strength and stiffness of all these compartments are satisfy the need when the filter is running according to the relevant standards. The components of static analysis include dewatering support disk, rigid bracing plate, filter liquid collection tank, steel frame, hydraulic ram flange support connection structure. Structure design optimization of dewatering support disk and steel frame are also presented in this paper.
