Participatory Community Development And Comprehensive Control Of Rock Desertification In Karst Rural Area

In recent years, the exploitation and treatment of ecological environment in karst areas, especially the restoration and reconstruction of rock desertification regions, is a hot point of researches. In collaboration of many scholars, much progress is reached and many effective models of control and restoration are established. However, the studies on community development, especially the development of people, are insufficient.This paper, for purpose of improving the developments of community and people and by means of cross-subjects of art and science, and theories combined with examples, considers comprehensively community development of karst rural areas and integrated control of rock desertification and, With the help of participatory rural appraisal, inducts local people to consider the current environmental problems they meet, rethink their unreasonable social and economical activities, build up their environmental consciousness, establish correct standpoints on the relationship of human and environment and protect the environment in collaboration of community members.The paper, from the angle of system theories, environment science and geography science and together with the latest progress of GIS, establishes rock desertification coupling mechanism of cause-result circle.
