Evaluating objectively on wool-like fabrics' characters and studying the influencing factors is an important approach to do optimization design and performance improvement of wool-like fabrics.Do fabric analysis for 37 representative wool-like fabrics in the market, and use FAST, FA1004, YG811, YG(B)461D to test on mechanical properties.Make use of principal factor analysis to set up the objective evaluation system of wool-like fabrics, which can express the characters totally and objectively. To obtain 6 factors that compose the basic characters of wool-like fabrics, calculate and rank the scores of each factor and synthesis ones. Establish the synthetic modeling to get synthetic value of each testing index and to evaluate each testing index's influence towards fabric characters. Draw the numerical range of testing index of wool-like fabrics, and set the average position and standard deviation, by all of which characters and performances of wool-like fabrics can be judged.Meanwhile, on basis of linear regression, correlativity analysis is used to study and expose the influencing factors in order to justify fabric characters and conduct fabric design. Then hierarchical cluster analysis is adopted to classify all the 37 wool-like fabrics into 5 groups: warp double wool-like fabrics, elastic wool-like fabrics, thin wool-like fabrics, heavy wool-like fabrics and textureless wool-like fabrics. Then conclude peculiarities of specifications and testing index, and obtain fabric characters of each group. On basis of former analysis, make use of fabric evaluation system built by principal factor analysis, influencing factors to wool-like fabrics exposed by correlativity analysis, and group characters of wool-like fabrics obtained by hierarchical cluster analysis, two...
