Molded pulp is a material, which meets the environment, protecting requests, and its product is used in a big range of recent packaging industry. But its structure design is depended on experience. The paper, based on the requests of industrial package, analyzes cushioning characteristics of molded pulp structure, and points out that unit structure is the important factor influencing molded pulp product. After analyses unit structure performance's factors, it probes into basal factor from theory, that is, the relationship between the stabilization of molded pulp board bearing the load and unit structure performance. And then, the paper, recurred to the model of"L"structure, studies the relationship between unit structure performance and its parameters,and the result is that its performance loading is positive relationship with loading side perimeter and passive relationship with loading high respectively. And more important, the increase of ratio of loading side to loading high enhances loading capability of unit structure. Through unit structure's static compressing curve and the board's bend theory, the paper points out loading mechanism of unit structure——the bend mechanism of the boards composing unit structure. The all conclusions provide principles for molded pulp products'design. And the paper, from packaging system, finally devises the theories and methods for the products'design, and elementary probes into the CAD system, which establishes the basis of CAD technique development.
