Molded pulp cushion is a typical kind of green packaging product, which can save resources, protect ecological environment, reduce the cost of waste recycle and accord with the development trend of international packaging. But now the domestic design of molded pulp cushion is still at the starting stage.There is no complete and feasible design method of molded pulp cushion in the field of molded pulp industry.The production enterprises obtain products'cushiong property only can take practical tests which lead to expensive cost, long development period and it hard to get the complete response process of the packaging piece.This topic took upper-lower superposion form and turnover form as examples, carried out experimental study and computer simulation on the cushiong property of combined structural cushion.The main research results were as follows:(1)Preliminary study on the mechanical properties of combined structure by using finite element method of bending laminated shell.Obtained the displacement, stress and strain of spesific combined structure after loading.(2)The cushioning property of combined molded pulp cushion is related to single structure's.It's the comprehensive performance of each single structure.Compared with single layer molded pulp cushion, its deformation process is successive happened by inner layer and outer layer,and energy consumption is also undertook by two parts. So combined structure can improve the limit load and avoid single layer's early failure.(3)FEM simulation was applied to the research of molded pulp cushion's property.First, we discussed the effecting factors of simulation, and then took the static loading and drop experiment on combined cushion with computer simulation.The result showed that the model of FEM simulation was feasible and further verified the cushiong effect of combined cushion.
