Accompanying the globalization of the world economy and the quick hi-tech development, the economy of China maintains fast and steady. This whole situation has offered huge space and market prospect for domestic petrochemical industry. However, it also causes intense competition. Diversified competition of domestic petroleum & petrochemical products have already formed, especially with the big joint venture base construction in China, the competitive situation is becoming more and more severe. In accordance with China's access to WTO market-in permission, no-doubt the huge volume of imports will cause great impact on domestic market.Ethylene industry plays a leading role in chemical field, and it presents the trend of large scale and production integration. The basic strategy of ethylene industry is pursuing the scale benefit. Fushun Ethylene has a capacity of 140,000 t / a, which is still far from scale benefit. There are 7 same scale ethylene plants in China currently. How to edge the competition in terms of National Strategy of Rejuvenation of Northeast China, to realize the sustained development of FEC (Fushun ethylene chemical plant), is very important to study the competitive strategy of FEC.Combining the strategy management theory with the enterprise's practical situation, meanwhile based on the external and internal enterprise environmental analysis, the enterprise strategy is discussed in the paper. It is also showed the political economic environment of China and the environment of the ethylene industry in both China and the world else via "five forces" model. Combing analysis deeply of internal resources and applying SWOT analysis method, weigh the advantages and disadvantages, opportunities and threats. And in 5 aspects such as organization reform, project construction, manufacture management, talent training and corporate culture, providing the resolution that ensures the realization of the strategy, also helping to edge the competition to realize further development.
