In this paper, the method of computer simulation was adopted in researching and analyzing the inking system of offset press. The systematic model and the simulation model were built, and the simulation experiment (to analyze the simulation results) was carried out by theory analysis. Furthermore, simulation software of inking system was developed by MATLAB。As a result, a new method is offered to design and evaluate the inking system. The main contents and innovations are as follows:(1) The relation between ink flow ratio and the plate coverage, the ink split fraction was studied by using the plate coverage, the ink split fraction and ink split fraction as the control variable. In this study, the traditional method in ink flow ratio calculation that the plate image coverage was 100% and the ink split fraction was 0.5 was broken through and reproduced the printing process more accurately. It shows that the ink flow ratio is closely relative to image coverage and ink split fraction.(2) The question of after first depth pale in media caused by the gap of plate to do the theoretical analysis research, and proposed has used the bridge roller solution, and has carried on the computer simulation confirmation, It shows that increased the bridge roller can solve the question of after first depth pale in media.(3) The vibration characteristics of the vibrators and its effect on the steady state of the inking system was studied extensively, and the oscillation cyclic, stroke length and phase angle was used as control variable. Then the ink distribution is acquired under different oscillation parameter. It provides theoretical foundation for setting the suitable oscillation parameter.(4) Has determined the wavers axial motion velocity curve through thetheoretical calculation and the computer simulation, is sine curve superimposition high frequency undulation movement form, for the fundamental research and the computer simulation convenience its movement form simplification sinusoidal motion, and has carried on the system static state and the dynamic performance analysis.(5) Carries on to different percentage of coverage of printing plate loses the ink system static state, the dynamic performance computer simulation, analyzes under the different wavers vibrates quantity condition on the printing plate printing ink quantity axial distribution standard deviation and achieves the setting time. The research indicated that, different percentage of coverage of printing plate issues the steady state after the different wavers vibrates quantity condition the printing ink standard deviation to be different, achieved the setting time is also different; The different percentage of coverage of printing plate needs the different wavers vibrates quantity to be able to cause the printing ink quantity the standard deviation to be small, namely the wavers vibrates quantity size needs not to come together according to the different percentage of coverage of printing plate the adjustment, is not the vibrates quantity is bigger, or smaller better.
