Submerge Arc Welding (SAW) was invented in 1930s, now the welding process is widely used in many industry fields such as shipbuilding, energy source and mechanism because of its high productivity, excellent welding quality, flexible regulating properly and comfort working condition. The wire feeding system (WFS) plays an import role in SAW welding process and some shortages have been found in present silicon-controlled rectifier (SCR) WFS. These shortages are mentioned below:1. Poor-efficiency;2. Bad dynamic performance;3. Low electromechanically reaction speed and slow adjustment of motor. In order to solute the disadvantages discussed above, a new SAW wire feeding system named Locked Anti-phase Control H bridge PWM DC motor servosystem is excogitated. The new system is mainly made up of MOSFET and L292 IC that used for the core of the control system. Because MOSFET component is full-controlled, compositive and has high switch frequency and dynamic speed, the wire feeding circuit is more efficient, less harmonic wave and lower engine noise. Then the motor that works under the bipolar reversible H bridge PWM mechanism can run in four-quadrant without static dead-zone and has good stability, great timing range. The new SAW wire feeding system that this paper expatiates is innovative, reliable and content for the work request. The study provides the theoretical governing for increasing the performance of SAW and directs welding engineer.
