This topic is a part of 1880mm hot mill strip engineering project that is the key scientific research item in Shanghai Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., and it mainly studies how to build the distributed hot mill process control system.In order to get a basic understanding to the process control system, at first this thesis simply introduces the information system structure of BaoSteel Corporation and the process control system development as well as the type. Along with the understanding and application of iron and steel enterprise is better than before, it also brings forward higher request to the process control system. So based on the distributed object middleware platform development, process control system has become an inevitable trend. Then this thesis introduces the concept of a distributed object, and discuss the three mainstream Distributed Object Technology (COBRA, DCOM, J2EE), and their characteristics.Then based on the specific functional requirements of the system this thesis decides the principles of design and establishes a general design of a distributed process control system, including distributed system architecture, system software, hardware configuration and network environment configuration, and so on.Then this thesis makes a detailed research and analysis for the Ice technical characteristics, and compares Ice with COBRA, and analyses the advantages of Ice. It brings forward the solution of implementing three hot mill distributed process control system based on Ice distributed object technology, and the design method of the data management subsystem and the log subsystem. In this thesis we do a large number of tests about the distributed objects to be persistent by using Freeze technology and the communication between two distributed objects in order to prove its efficiency can completely be satisfied by the hot mill real-time system highly efficient requirements.Finally in this solution foundation, uses the above technologies to implement three hot mill process control system. After the completed system functional evaluation, it achieves the design requirements. At the same time this thesis proves that using Ice mainly combined with other related technologies, it can build a highly efficient, stable distributed hot mill process control system, and further promote the hot mill process control system to the high performance and reliability of direction!...
