After studying the character of the dressing process control project inHenan province on the base of the process flow sheet and equipmentarrangement, especially the character of the bauxite grinding process (the keypart), this paper proposes a distributed control system of the dressing processmeeting requirements of the production. Meanwhile, combining the projectpractice and adopting TPS control system, a new comprehensive automationsystem for the dressing process has been established and is further beingoptimized.The general production index of the dressing process are the maximumcapability and bauxite recycling rate in the precondition of ensuring themineral particle size and the concentration. The dressing process includesgrinding, floatation, dewatering and filtration, the grinding system is the mostimportant procedure, therefore, firstly investigating the grinding system usingthe DCS and PLC control technology, the paper puts forward a controlprogram available for the practical process and then obtains the economicaloperating efficiency.Analyzing the dressing process and distributed control technology ,andadopting the TPS system utilizing the platform of the computer distributedcontrol technology, the article brings forward the overall plant integrationcontrol program of the automation control, process monitoring and productionmanagement being put into the practice. The control system has achievedbetter economic efficiency and is worthy of promotion in the dressingindustry.
