Research And Development On Production Management System For Injection Mold Base Manufacturing

Injection mould base manufacturing is a hybrid of make-to-order and make-to-stock production method, which decides that its production process has many uncertainties and be vulnerable to all conflicts and interference. The complexity, uncertainty and random nature make it difficult to precisely control its production process and sequentially guarantee the delivery. To solve these problems, it is necessary to use advanced management techniques to achieve enterprise production management information.Firstly, the purpose and importance of production management in injection mould base enterprise is introduced from its business process and operating characteristics. Then the research status quo in this area is investigated. After many problems in the current backward management way are summed up by in-depth analysis of the elements that impact the production process badly, theoretic research on two key components of production management, production scheduling and product tracking and monitoring, has been done. This includes production scheduling, production data collection methods comparison, product tracking and monitoring etc. Considering to the actual production condition, a feasible improved way is given on enterprise production management. And then a production management software system is developed for injection mould base manufacturing within enterprise's information process. This software system, which is a web application based on three-tier architecture B/S model, is developed in J2EE platform with Sql Server database. The system's implement method and some key technique used in system, along with the interface and function of certain modules, are also presented in this paper.The research achievement has been applied to an enterprise successfully.
