The Research Of Further Development On Punching Die CAD System

On the foundation of systemic analysis and research on the punching die design theory and the CAD technology, combined with the practical experience of design and manufacture in the punching die factories for many years, and based on object-oriented design software Visual FoxPro and three dimensional CAD software UG NX 4.0,the special-purpose punching die CAD system collecting the design, the lectotype, the analysis and the plot as a body is developed in this paper. Main functions in this system are as follows:(1) Establishes the project database of punching die initially;(2) Parametrization design of major parts-,(3) Three dimensional model and assemble of punching dies; (5) Moving simulation of punching die system.Using this CAD system,the user can be convenient to design a suitable punching die quickly according to needs of the different factories.
