The color matching technology has developed rapidly in the recent years, but many professional software of color matching focus on the offset ink color matching, most of theoretical research is largely built on the offset, and there is fewer specialized screen ink color matching software. These bring a lot of inconvenience to the screen ink color matching; moreover, the spot color is used in the screen printing usually. The purpose of this paper is to study the screen ink color matching. The main content of this paper was to combine the Kubelka-Munk theory with colorimetric theory, build model of the screen ink color matching, enhance the color accuracy by the iterative method, and improve the process of the color matching by optimizing the model. The manuscript color was reproduced truly. Theoretical and technical support was provided to color matching.Based on the printing chromatics theory, matching color was done. Screen ink color matching model was established by combining kubelka-munk theory with printing tristimulus values formula, according to the disciplinarian in the actual screen ink color matching. The results was to get the initial formula of screen ink color matching, and amend formula by iterative in the Matlab for getting the final formula.Matching color experiment was done in the manual screen printing machine according to the experimental design, measured reflectivity after ink drying and calculated its k/s value by formula, and anglicized the data in the Matlab. Results showed that the proportion of C ink was bigger, the linear change of the reflectivity and k/s value of prepared ink were smaller, the proportion of Y ink was bigger, the linear changed of the reflectivity and k/s value of prepared ink were bigger. The color matching model was optimized basing on the nonlinear change of reflectivity and k/s value of papered ink. The optimizing method was experiential exponent modified method. The formula accuracy could be improved, and the iterative speed could be picked up.
