Silk is an eco-friendly fiber, and the compatibility of the skin good. As now, people enhance the awareness of environmental protection, and the silk fabrics have become increasingly popular with consumers. However, silk can't be fully utilized because of its'uneven nature of the fineness and easy to wrinkles by the wet-dry. Blending short silk by retting with polyester can improve silk's fineness and fabric wear ability.In this paper, it select the A-level grades, for the fineness of the Silk 22.2/24.4dtex hanged as a raw material by the performance of raw materials, spinning process and the cost of raw materials. We develop silk and polyester staple fiber blended yarn in the cotton spinning machines. In the process of spinning, we solved problem of enwind the cylinder and roller by the silk and polyester, as well as the gauge and the distance 5:00 grasp. We identify a more reasonable spinning process, spinning out of the six different blends ratio (for silk / polyester: 0 / 100, 20/80, 40/60, 60/40, 80/20, 100 / 0) blended yarns. Under the existing conditions of blended yarn, it had carried out a series of performance test analysis, including yarn tensile properties, irregularity test, hairiness, bending rigidity. It derivates the relationship between blending ratio and irregularity test by the statistical analysis of spss software. Then conclude the Come relationship between various properties and blend ratio for silk / polyester blended yarn. The results show that: With the silk fiber increase in the content of blended yarn, The fineness improve, there has been a proliferation of hairiness trends, breaking strength and elongation at break reduce in the beginning but then increased, bending stiffness value reduced gradually. Secondly, Based on the simplified model of blended yarn drawing property, it predicted blended yarns'strength and stress-strain. A comparison of predicted and experimental results produced a good agreement for silk/polyester yarns. The relation ship of yarn properties and blend ratio is discussed by fuzzy math method. It forecast the blend ratio according to the performance of the blended which give the actual production for a facilitated.It knits the blended yarn on circular knitting machine. The performance of the wear ability including durability and breaking strength and bursting strength is tested and analyzed. It also tests the anti-crease properties and shrinkage of the fabrics. In conclusion, performance of knitted fabric with silk and polyester blended yarn turned to better than the pure silk's.
