So it is of wide marketprospects for linen products.The resource of flax is rich in china,anywaybecause of poor processing technology, about 50% flax tow is abandonedas waste. It is of momentous practical signilicance to exploit flax tow-madefabrics based on taking good advantage of current cotton spinning equipment.The main content of this paper is given below. First,flax tow fibremodifying treatment. The aim is removing impurities,reducing the content ofoverlengh fibre, increasing fibre fineness and improving its softness andcohesion force. Second, spinning eXperiments of modified fibre. l5 sorts offlax tow-polyester blending yarns were prepared with different blending ratio.The fineness of them is 56tex except pure flax tow yatn which isl04tex.According to the results of spinning experiments,we draw aconclusion that with the percentage of flax tow increases,the end breakageincreases,spinnability becomes bad and the strength of yarns decreases.Pureflax tow merely can be spinned into yarns of l04tex.Third,wearngexperiments of l4 sorts of blending yarns .plain texture is adoped,the sett offabrics is 2l2ends/l0cm,and picks is ll5 picks/l0cm.Fourth,wearingcharacteristics measurement.The main measurement items are listedbelow:tcnsile property,abrasion resistance,crease recovery property,bendingrigidity,draping property,moisture absorption and airpermeability.Fifth, investigation of relations between wearing characteristicsand blending ratio of blended fabics.Analysis of measured data indicates thatthe ratio of weigh loss,crease recovery angle,bending rigidity,drapecoefficient,absorption of moisture and air permeability possess significantcorrrlativity with the blending ratio of two kinds of fibres.Obvious regUlaritycould not be found between moisture permeability and bendingratio.Sixth,regression model establishing and computer aid design.
