Taly fiber which is produced from white pine wood pulp possesses an excellent performance,it is a new type of regenerated cellulose fiber. In this paper we test the structure and basic performance of Taly fiber: make a comparison with other renewable sources of cellulose fibers; explore the spinning of the Taly fiber;analyse the suitable process conditions for the spinning of Taly fiber;obtaine some sutiable process parameters;do test on the spinned yarn about it's mechanical properties,evenness,the degree of hairiness,and so on;and briefly analyse its causation.We also design weaving process,and proceeds to do test and analysis on the drape property,thermal insulation,creasing, mechanics and style of the fabric.The cross-section of Taly fiber is either in the shape of round with serrated edge or oval,the fiber has a skin-core structure,in the surface of the vertical cross section there are many small bumps,and there are various depth of the trench.In general,the crystallinity of the Taly fiber is higher than that of Rayon and lower than that of Tencel.Taly fiber has a high moisture regain,with a good moisture absorption property.The mass specific resistance of Taly fiber is low,so in the spinning process it is not easy to cause electricity phenomena.The mechanical properties of Taly fiber consists of its high breaking strength,the high ratio of wet-strength to dry-strengh,low elongation at break,high fiber initial modulus.In the spinning process of Taly fiber,the spinning path should maintaine smooth and clean so as to reduce the coefficient of friction and static electricity,this will help improve the quality of the yarn. Adjust the speed of the cylinder,astoria,gill cover and roller,and their inter-gauge,to reduce the amount of short fibers and fiber damage; reduce the number of neps and hairiness,to increase the evenness of the spinning yarn;rationally allocate the back drafting process in spinning, this has a significant impact on improving the quality of Taly fiber yarn; in the spinning process the control of plant's temperature and humidity should be enhanced.Taly yarn has lower strength,larger elongation at break,good evenness,and relatively slightly higher hairiness degree.Taly fabrics have good permeability,good draping property and comfortable to wear.Taly fabrics'insulation is relatively low,so it is not very good insulating material,therefore it is not suitable for winter protection but is suitable for cool fabric in spring and summer.The clothing made of Taly fiber fabric has good wrinkle resistance and shape retention.The breaking strength,elongation at break,work of fracture of Taly fabric are low,the resistence of the external force of the Taly fabric is relatively weak,the bursting strength and tearing resistence of Taly fabric is slightly high and the resistence to deformation by external forces of Taly fabric is high.
