Wood has significant influence for our country's economic development when it used for an important resource and especial commodity. In recent years, as follow the continuous﹑fast and steady development of our country's economic development, require of living stand continuous increase, the need became diversification and the need of wood increase in architecture, house decorate , furniture manufacture and so on. On the other side, for the reason of protect environment, China has confined the deforestation , so the wood resource provident is insufficiency, but the market's need increase significant, this is the Chinese wood industry main contradiction .Chinese deforestational rate and wood integration-use rate is 61% and 63% in 2004.In the 37% of not make the most of wood, wood process remains account for a large part. Wood peel account for a large part in wood process remains. Wood peel is the wood side when log after cutting. It is the part of bark and xylem, generally its form is strip﹑thin and small. Now the peel is used for boiler fuel﹑fiberboard and particleboard in the word, but as the bark has significant effect on the quality(mechanical properties and appearance) of fiberboard and particleboard not make the most of wood, so generally ,it needs peeling processing.But for wood peel's special shape, it go against machine peeling, so generally the way of peeling is handwork in China. So this article analysed the peeling equipment in present and research the feasibility of wood peel machine, hoping found a kind of rational peeling method and depend on this method manufacture peeling machine.The main content and results included in the following items:1. The article has analysed Chinese wood resources use and the wood peel integrate use condition (the using of bard and xylem)2. In this paper, by meaning of analysis purpose,kind,capability of presently used peeling and rind equipment. Raised problems that urgent needed and the trend of future development about peeling and rind equipment.3.The choose and define of wood peeling principle : By meaning of analysis physics﹑ chemistry and framework of bark and xylem,chooseing tenacity and slight knife fast circumrotate cutting peel, reaching the purpose of remove bark and keep xylem. This kind of method rely on the different of physics between bard and xylem, using the principle of wire brush rub the rust of steel and remove oil paint on the steel. There are a lot of tenacity and slight knife, so they contact sufficiently, according to choose different knife's stiffness,thickness,length,surface hardness,shape and structure of the end , determining the cutting speed(Slender tool rotation), better results and various parameters have been obtained. Achieving the purpose of wood peel peeled and efficient(high-quality and high-speed),continuous and low-cost industrial research .4. Design and manufacture of wood peeling machine: according to the result of in advance peeling experiment and the shape of wood peel, designing and manufacturing experiment wood peeling machine. this equipment has 2 group tenacity and slight knife(R30cm,length 2～4cm), using the rub power fast circumrotate cutting peel, (electromotor modelY100L2～4, power2.2KW,rev 2840r/min),the peel feeding by fluctuated clamp roller. The peel feeding rely on lower roller by chain drive transfer electromotor's power. (model Y90S～17Y, power 1.1KW,rev1400r/min).5.Deubbe and ameliorate of wood peel machine: we found some problem after boot-strap and ameliorate measure as follow: electromotor power is insufficiency , improving method is change bigger electromotor;2 the shake of machine is acute, improving method is fix up the machine on level off ground.;3 the dust is a lot; improving method is add dustproof on cutting device.6. Wood peeling machine peeling experiment: Selecting Chinese fir (Cunninghamia lanceolata) as experiment material, the length is 100cm,board is from 6cm～15cm;thickness is from 1cm～2cm,weight is from 131g～734g. Accord to moisture content of peel divide 3 team:9%,30% and 90%,each team has 9 experiment materials. After peeling experiment, achieved the bark and xylem divide of. In the confine of machine process ability, after 4 time peeling, the peeling rate above 80%and wood peel receive sufficient use.Test and analysis results show that: the development of wood peeling machine in line with the requirements of industry peeling of the wood residue peel.
