The economic benefit of reclaimed water reuse in urban landscaping and other municipal purposes was given deep researches. ShiJiaXingCheng community water reuse facilities for landscaping saved more than 330,000 yuan for the community annually, while a campus waste reuse project saved 587,000 yuan. Further calculations estimated that if the Xi'An municipality make a plan to build water reuse system for communities and schools for, which could save nearly a billion dollars for the government annually and reduce the city's water supply shortage. The saved money would help the government establish facilities for reclaimed water for more huge economic benefits.
