Modern gear drive toward high precision,long-life and high efficiency, People need higher to the quality requirements of gear. Improve finish machine efficiency and quality of the hard tooth face gear is the key of improve the tooth quality and transmission accuracy. Form grinding gear has many advantages such as high precision, high efficiency, simple structure and so on, which has been concerned much to people, Form grinding gear developed rapidly in recent years, become the important development direction of gear finish machine. However, only sever enterprises can produce NC form grinding machine in our country, the machine precision still has large gap compared with developed country. Therefore, studying and developing form gear grinding machine and form grinding technique which has proprietary intellectual property rights of our country is urgently. For improve the machine precision, According to form grinding principle, machine simulation and error analysis of gear are researched in the paper, the main contents and results of research are as follows:1. Form grinding gear technology is studied in this paper. How to select grinding wheel and wheel dressing, grinding liquid and grinding residual measure is researched in this paper,provide basis for gear grinding quality.2. Simulate is carried out in the software of VERICUT. The grinding system is established in the software, the simulate of form grinding gear is carried out, NC program is validated right, enhance success rate in the first machine.3. The factors which effect machine precision are researched, sever methods are put forward to reduce the errors. The influence of wheel feed depth on tooth error is analyzed and simulated, the arithmetic of straight line approaching involutes is researched in this paper, provide guarantee to improve the precision of wheel dressing.4. The form grinding gear software system has been developed using the VC++ 6.0 software development tool, the software system include gear parameter calculate module and grind dressing simulation module. Input the base parameter of gear, the software can create NC code of grinding wheel dressing and can simulate to the NC code, that can detect and resolve problems in time.Experiment of grinding wheel dressing and gear grind process are carried out, validate the correctness of form grinding gear simulation and grinding wheel dressing simulation, validate the correctness of error analysis, validate the measures of solve the errors are right at the same time.
